It's even more important than ever for you to concentrate on your studies if you think you're going to be serious with someone whom isn't in a position to contribute more to a family than a smile and a touch.
The social norm is both male and female working these days, so don't blind yourself with the good attention. At some point, you're going to wish a better life for both of you. Keep your eye on your goals outside of love.

Sometimes parents know best for you, and it just doesn't seem like it. If they are just prejudiced against someone like that, they should let you get to know them and find out for yourself it they are right for you or not. However, if there are actual valid reasons for them not letting you be with the person, it's usually for your own well-being and safety. I'm not high and mighty or anything, but I've learned from personal experience that sometimes those qualities do matter in a person. My ex was lacking in the education department, and couldn't financially support himself. Since I had both, it annoyed me to a point where I realized I need someone more like me.

I can relate. My boyfriend is poor and goes to school but it looks like he'll have no education soon cause he's probably gonna dropout. He says his life is rough. I love him even though I have to buy him stuff and soon I'm gonna buy him a phone and pay the phone bill. No problem for me. I got money. My family is rich. Just stay with the one you love and in the end all your dreams will come true. Love makes the world go round.

The thought of a person with less education boggles the mind.

Keep the person as a friend. Do not date the person.
Encourage the person to get more education or job training that will help them improve their life.
Your parents do not want you to get into a situation that is going to hurt, or a person who will take advantage of you. If the person is worthwhile, they will appreciate your efforts to encourage the person to improve his or her life.
If you are under 18 years old, be careful with older friends.

I'm a college grad with a 6 figure salary.
I used to be with a guy with no education who delivered pizza for a living. He's now a taxi driver. (we are NOT together!)
I found out that I had to end up paying for all his mistakes - because he couldn't take care of himself. Nor did he have enough $$ to even try. (And i don't even think he cared to try!) I had to pay thousands of dollars for him for parking violations/tickets to keep him out of jail (because he never paid anything for years on end!!). I had to pay for his airfare when he had a family emergency & he had to fly out of the country immediately (again thousands of dollars). These are just a couple of examples. It was endless.
I loved him & at the time was happy to help. Now I just feel like a moron who was taken for a ride & lost a ton of money in the process.
If you're happy forking out all your money on someone who cannot support themselves - then please go right ahead!

Unless english is your second language, given the errors in your question, this sounds like it shouldn't be a problem! Actually, it sounds like a match!
