Last night me and my other half were being intimate.. well things got carried away and he gave me a hickey.. I covered it up for the first couple of hours well after i took a shower it started to hurt.. when i woke up this morning it was really sore.. Now it just plain out hurts .. is something wrong what can i do? with out my parents saying anything to me about it

It hurts because it is in reality, a bruise. Unfortunately there's not much you can do. It just has to heal.
There is an herbal substance called "arnica" that you can get in a cream that does help bruises go away faster. I used it after a very serious auto accident and it really helped.
Be careful, I've heard that you can develop a clot from a bad hickey, which can be quite dangerous.

A hickey is a bruise, broken blood vessels underneath the skin. Think banging your knee on the table. It's almost the same as getting a hickey. So, it's gonna hurt.

Love bites are basically broken blood vessels, like bruises. That's why it hurts. You can try to put ice on it if it's hurting real bad. Next time, get it in a more concealed place. Hickeys are embarrassing and tacky!

hickeys r sometimes painful depending on where abouts they r and some times if they r on a vain or blood vessal it hurts very bad give it a few days it will calm down and get better

Haha i had one before...and yeah they hurt abit!
Try rubbing some cream like sudacrem on it.
Also...wear a scarf or a very high necked jumper! :P
