Because their misinterpretations of the bible cause them to condemn people, gay people in particular.
That and the fact that "I'll save you from the evullll homos" has always been a good way for their preachers to get money from the more gullible parishioners.

I'm really not sure - I try not to give it any thought any longer & don't care if they approve of my life, or the lives of others from the glbt community.
The religious people that put us down because we're "sinners" are disgusting, and cruel - I'm a far better person than them, because I'd never act how they do.
I'm not hurt by being shunned by them because I wouldn't want to associate with such hateful people anyhow.
And they compare us with child molesters - there's a big difference between child molestation & two consenting, legal-aged, non-related adults wanting to be together.
Also, I'm curious as to how being gay is a sin - it wasn't one of the ten commandments.

Most Christians can and do get along fine with gays. Although we see homosexuality as a sin, everyone sins, including us Christians. We don't approve of their actions, but we still love them as we love everyone.

Just because someone is a homosexual does not mean that we cannot love him (or her) or pray for him (her). Homosexuality is a sin and like any other sin, it needs to be dealt with in the only way possible. It needs to be laid at the cross, repented of, and never done again.
As a Christian, you should pray for the salvation of the homosexual the same you would any other person in sin. The homosexual is still made in the image of God -- even though he is in grave sin. Therefore, you should show him same dignity as anyone else you come in contact with. However, this does not mean that you are to approve of their sin. Don't compromise your witness for a socially acceptable opinion that is void of godliness.

I can show one to Christ, I can talk to one about Christ and His love towards us. I will not tolerate there behavior, and tell them it's ok because it is not. You can say you are born with this "disease" as people are classifying it today but it is just an excuse. My wife was gay, grew up gay, never took interest to men. But now oh my she is with me, a man!! So your excuse can just flutter away because it is so annoying.

only because we believe it is a sin and gays try defending it saying its alright. to us thats is like a child molester saying that its ok for him to marry and have sex with children. we dont have a problem with the people themselves just the sin that they don't realize they are commiting
