There are just six or seven passages in both OT and NT that deal with homosexuality. In fact, Jesus didn’t say anything about homosexuality, but he said a lot of about lust, and sins of the flesh.
Homosexuality isn't a sin.
Sex out of marriage is the sin.
So for our brother and sister hypocrites who are down on gays, every one of them better be married or virgins, or they are just as sinful as their gay brothers. And if you have your own splinter in your eye, then you really shouldn’t be telling homosexuals about the splinter in their eyes.
It's just easier to attack the homosexuals who are hiding in a church, rather than the couples who are probably committing sins by having sex out of marriage.
(By the way – people who say things like “hate the sin, love the sinner,” or “God hates . . .” have a very different idea of who God is. God so loved the world, that he sent Jesus. When we use words like ‘God’ and “hate” in the same sentence, we allow hate into our minds and into our hearts – and that’s not what Jesus taught us to do. God loves the world, and that’s what Jesus tells us to do, so that’s how we should live. It’s that simple.)
(Also, God did NOT destroy Sodom and Gomorrah because of homosexuality. Read the story again, and start with the Angels visiting Abraham in the previous chapter. The story of Sodom’s destruction is an example of being inhospitable to strangers – and God says we’re to welcome, protect and care for aliens among us. The homosexuality issue arose AFTER God decided to destroy Sodom. And when you’re quoting the story of Sodom and Gomorrah and wanting to wrongly blame homosexuals – read the story closely, and see EXACTLY what the people in Gomorrah did wrong.)
Godspeed.

No, God will never turn a Christian away from Heaven, regardless of their sexual preference. There have been studies that homosexuality is learned, some people are born with a predisposition to becoming homosexual in the future, etc. You can't say for certain the reasons, and personally it isn't really my business why someone is a homosexual. That doesn't make them a bad person, and doesn't change who they are inside. God tells us to love everyone, so love would have no baring on the way God feels about homosexuality, because we are to love everyone regardless of sexual attraction or compatibility. I do not think God would tempt us into being a homosexual so we would make the right choice. Satan however tempts everyone, so temptation is always a possibility when Satan is involved. Either way, if they love God, have faith in Him, and trust in Him, they will go to Heaven, whether or not that person is a homosexual.
Being a homosexual is sin just like lying is, coveting, lust, etc. God views all sin as equal, yet it says in the Bible that the mind is strong but the flesh is weak, meaning that we will sin no matter what we do. Being a homosexual is just like looking at someone of the same sex in a lustful manner, because either way that is lust. I myself view homosexuality as a sin, but i'm a sinner too. It's their choice, and I will never hold it against anyone. I have many gay friends, and they are wonderful people that I wouldn't trade for the world. A homosexual Christian will go to Heaven, as long as they are a true Christian.

Careful, brother, the "blah blah" is judgmental. But i get a little tired of it, too, along with "Sorry dude You are going to hell." I'll bet someone has posted ONE of those remarks already. Saying something without saying anything.
"If love is involved" is exactly how i feel about it. In these times, a person is fortunate to be in a monogamous relationship, even homosexual, rather than playing the field even heterosexually. There was a time when i wondered if this overcrowded world might be the cause of increased homosexuality like, the next logical step in evolution.
Heh. I'll get blasted for saying THAT!

Well I believe if you believe in the Bible 100% you believe that Homosexuality is a sin. God destroyed 2 cities in the book of Genesis because of Homosexuality. It's something that God does not like therefore it is wrong and a sin. I am not to judge people who are homosexuals though. They will be judged in the end just like you and I. I do not hate homosexuals just like God does not Hate them. We all sin as long as we are truely sorry for our sins and repent and Believe Jesus died on the cross to take away the sins of the world we will be in Heaven someday!!!!!

First off, it's not a choice. Secondly, why would a God or Satan, presuming they exist, test some people by making them homosexual and not test everyone? Does God choose a random sample of the population for testing purposes? Doesn't that lessen humanity to the level of a laboratory mouse? If so, why doesn't the heavenly equivalent ot PETA do something about it?
Thirdly, "its your problem." Why, if you do not wish to get people mad, as you stated at the beginning of your question, do you end it on this confrontational note? It seems as though you are being disingenuous.

I believe the homosexual sex act is a sin, just like fornication, theft, murder, lying, etc. because God's Word says it is.
God will forgive all sins, but the person should cease to commit the sin once he has been forgiven. If I am a thief, and I ask forgiveness, I can't just go on stealing. The same goes for committing the homosexual act. Otherwise, the person is flaunting his sin in the face of God.

God's laws are God's laws unfortunately. Why He has a problem with it is His deal, but we are to listen and follow accordingly. It is a temptation, but not meant to test. The Bible says God is not the author of confusion, so He would not send this as a "test" since it is a major confusion. It is an abomination. That's it. The Bible says it, so it is. No matter who says "God won't turn someone away because it was his nature..." that's an excuse. God will NOT allow sin of any type in His kingdom, homosexuality in all it's forms included.
God will turn away any sinner, even if they "love" Jesus. Sin is sin, no matter how it is defined. God will have none of it in His kingdom.

God not only created us from His own perfect love He also made us to be creatures with a moral conscience and acountability to Him and each other.
God according to he Bible destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for homosexual practices and if you believe this to be truth then you have to realize that God saw it as subverting His law of nature and His creatures too.
God will not turn homosexuals away from eternal life if and this is a big `if` they in turn turn away from the Biblical sin of sodomy.
Your question was a very good one though.

Look, if you believe in God, then you most likely believe in Satan. If you're going to put the blame for homosexuality on Satan, then really you're blaming God because he created Satan, hence He created evil. He created man, hence He created the capacity in us to succumb to evil. If homosexuality is evil, as many of you say, then God is to blame ultimately. But if it's not, and you're just making it seem evil, then you are to blame and you are sinning against God by persecuting these people.

What makes you think that God cares about this at all?
Just because a bunch of fundies who don't know diddly about their own bible babble about this all of the time it does not mean that God cares.
If you read the words of Jesus it is more than clear that he told us exactly how to deal with this situation.
If we consider ourselves Christians, Jesus only left us with only two suggestions for dealing with Homosexuals.
First He ask us not to judge them.
Secondly He ask us to love our neighbor.
Homosexuals are our neighbors.
End of discussion.
Love and blessings Don
