Has anyone heard of this. One of her legs and feet (same leg) are swollen up. She has had a MRI. The doctor says it is a type of arthritis. I have no name of this condition to look up about this--arthritis was too broad of a word. Her grandmother couldn't remeber what the doctor said it was called. Help please.

I have Psoriatic Arthritis and both my legs and ankles swell at different times. It comes and goes. It feels like I have fluid retention in my legs and feet, especially around my ankles. I pressed on my legs and feet when they were swollen and the skin was very tight. I take Humira Injections for my arthritis and will be switching to Enbrel due to the swelling. I believe different medicines can cause swelling. Have you started any new medicines before the swelling took place? Hope this helps!

Within the past few years, doctors have been too quick to pass off every pain as arthritis. That way they can write a prescription and charge you "an arm and a leg" for the office visit without having to investigate the problem.

I tripped and fell across the coffee table and tore the muscle in my leg in two places. Wouldn't you know it, I was diagnosed as having arthritis, in both places, instead of a damaged muscle. A few months before that, I lifted a heavy object and strained the muscle below my right shoulder blade, guess what the diagnosis was. Arthritis! However, the doctor and I had a heated discussion about his diagnosis. I asked him if he would be willing to take a gamble and give me a cortisone injection. He did and within 5 days I was well. You can't cure arthritis that easily.

I would certainly recommend a second opinion; and be sure and take the results of the MRI with you.

Imagine for a moment your arthritis completely vanishing right now.

If, in a moment, your pain and stiffness melted away. And your joints all of a sudden functioned like a well-oiled machine.

Like a magic wand was waived, you'd be able to jump up from your chair and run around the room like a kid.

And imagine that you'd never have to suffer as much as a pinch of arthritis stiffness or pain ever again.

I know this sounds impossible right now, but bear with me, because sometimes miracles happen.

It was a gift from a woman on the other side of the world. From the kindness of her heart, she took pity on my suffering and taught me how to completely reverse my arthritis.

Today, I want to do the same for you!

there are lots of reason why someone gets swollen leg, but if the doctor said arthritis then you should try to ask her to stay away from any food with uric acid and don;t make her eat any meat. she can eat though, but only just a cube, so might as well not let her eat at all. trace your family if they have any arthritis, then she'll have a greater risk of having one.

Most likely Rheumatoid Arthritis. Regardless of what type of Arthritis, she needs to see a Rheumatologist to be evaluated and treated correctly.

I will try to keep it simple. Your metabolism is basically the rate at which your body burns calories to create energy. So the faster your metabolism, the faster you burn calories and the easier it is to lose unwanted weight. To boost your metabolism naturally you just need to eat the right foods.

You can sit down and literally eat a 1,000-calorie dinner and yet be absolutely starving just a few hours later and the reason is simple: Because your body didnt get what it needed in those 1,000 calories so it sends signals to your brain telling you to ingest more calories and thus, the late-night cravings. That means that the surest way to end those late-night cravings and keep your weight loss goals on track is to eat a more balanced, nutritious diet that actually gives your body what it needs.

It's VERY EASY to lose weight if you eat the right foods. Check out this video here: http://www.sexyjese.com - it will blow your mind.

I had that happen to me. My doctor didn't think it was anything to worry about but sent me for a Doppler scan anyway just to make sure and it turned out to be a blood clot. Ask your doctor to have a Doppler scan done.
