Every once in awhile I like to go down to Las Vegas or Cancun and really have a good time. I don't want to come back feeling guilty for having fun. So, I have been granting myself what I call a "God Holiday" on these trips. When I do that I don't worry about what God would think because I'm on vacation. I just have fun and I don't feel guilty about it at all. I don't pray for forgiveness or anything.

Of course, when I get back I get right back to my usual clean and sin free life and go to church every Sunday. I just don't bring up with God those things I did on vacation. It seems to work out pretty good. And since I'm born again, I know that I'm already forgiven for all sins past, present and future. It's like an insurance policy.

So, if you have problems having real guilt free fun on vacation, try what I do. Have yourself a "God Vacation" and let what happens on vacation, stay on vacation!

Dear Donna,

When I saw your question and before I clicked on it my immediate answer was - As long as you mean taking a holiday to BE WITH GOD, that is more than okay it is fantastic!

But seeing that you did not mean that my answer is that would be like taking a vacation from BREATHING!

That would be Hell. No thanks.

Maybe your understanding of God needs some fine-tuning. Check out The Father's Love Letter at http://www.fathersloveletter.com

It is hard, I used to do it. It isn't alright at all. It's really bad, I would recommend slowly eliminating it frfrom a habit. Just don't pay attention to bad things, and take your anger out on something else, when your sad do something more productive and learn an instrument so you can play when your bored, drums would probably be good so that gets rid of anger more than guitar or bass.Oh and if you want to talk to somebody that you don't really know, I'll talk to you, incase you would be shy telling somebody you know. So that should help a little bit. But it would help if a parent knew but I would recommend not telling them. Just get rid of it.

I think it's very important for your sanity to have more "God Holidays" than not.

Cancun is the perfect place to escape God and ponder evolutionary biology, while holding a Corona.

Why would you want to do that?

It will only drive you away from the Lord.

You simply cannot continue to deliberately sin........that's a no no in Scripture.

Haven't you read Romans chapter 7?
Or 1 John chapter 1?

It sounds to me like salvation really hasn't penetrated you at all.

Let me see if I understood: You say you don't care about GOD on your vacation nor even repent yourself after getting back?
Does it means your "God holiday" is your "Satan vacation"?

Primo and JOYfill have my vote for an answer. Donna, being born again doesn't give us license to sin.
