I don't mean emotional support like, like "don't take things personally," or prejudicial things like "Watch out for So-and-So because he's crazy," but practical stuff about getting around here and getting your answer read.

I would say: if you find you're going to be more than the 5th or 6th answerer to a question, don't expect it to get read by anybody, including the asker.

and

the shorter the answer the more likely it'll get read.

Any others?

Fidelis said it for me but I want to add that this is a safe forum to say what you think. As we all have been taught it is better to not discuss religion or politics in public. This is a public place but we can voice our opinion in safety. I personally have learned so much about other belief systems and have strengthen my own.

Check your sensitivity at the door.

Don't give thumbs down to answers you simply disagree with. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Don't expect everyone to take your serious questions seriously and your joke questions jokingly.

And the best advice for anyone at R&S:
Not everyone will like you, no matter who you are, no matter what you do or say. You will get reported, you will get blocked, you may get flamed. This isn't a reflection on you, it's a reflection on the self-absorbed troll who reports/blocks/flames you.

You need to have more faith. If only one person reads and benefits from your answer, it is all worth while. Just trust in God , that if you have a good answer, it will find its mark. If your reading this, this is not very high on the order of answers, so there is hope.
