The only thing left behind after you die is the memory of you. So make it a good one.

Of course not. How can you have life after death? You are dead not alive. To be conscious in some form or other after brain death would require the existence of a soul. The soul is an ancient concept thought up by Greek philosophers as an explanation to thought and self. We now know the soul or an equivalent does not exist.

If there were a soul or spirit, the human brain in all its beautiful complexity, would not be required except perhaps to control limbs. There are parts of the brain that if damaged or removed cause a person to loose all sorts of aspects of their memories and personality. It's possible to locate areas within the brain and literally turn off aspects of human nature. Once the brain dies, you die. Your memories are biological, not spiritual. your personality is biological, not spiritual. Even if there were some form of life after death, it would not be possible to take your memories and personality with you for they are part of your flesh and blood, and your flesh and blood has just died. So you still wouldn't be alive after death. It wouldn't be you. It is a harsh but undeniable fact that this is all there is. When you die you will simply cease to exist. But hey, you didn't exist for billions of years before you were born! Do you recall it being a big deal?

No doubt in my mind do I believe in life after death! I'm a Christian so I believe in the Bible with all my heart. If you believe in the Bible 100% you believe in life after death. I have faith that the Bible is 100% true just like atheist have faith in believing this beautiful earth was created by the Big Bang or other means. Scientist are not able to recreated the beginning therfore it takes faith for people to believe what science tells them!!!! There is NO 100% proof in evolution and if you have it I know how you can get 1/2 a million dollars.

Whats with this Blue eyed girl thing? What colour is the other one?
Life after death is not something that you believe in, It's just something that happens. Nothing to do with religion. Can you imagine going to sleep and not waking up? Course you cant and nor can anybody else. I aint talking about Resurrection or anything like that, It' just a fact. Nobody ever dies even though you see some people getting buried. All they've done is go to sleep and they wake up again next morning and go of to work as usual. We might be in a differ ant body but we dont know that Dont you worry, you aint going to die.

Doesn't have to be life after death. There doesn't even have to be heaven/hell/god. I believe that life (sentient life anyway) is more than biological. I believe in the spirit, and the potential for a strong mind to persist after the death of the mortal shell.

My current take is that not everyone goes on... probably most people's spiritual essence just disperses and fuels the growth of other life. That's why there are so few ghosts/spirits/hauntings compared to the vast number of people who've lived and died. But there are spiritual phenomena, and that energy has to come from somewhere.

Yes, I believe there is life after death. I know a man who experienced an incredible life altering "death" and God allowed him to come back and live again. He "died" of a heart attack but lingered on earth for a few minutes. He said he could hear things and see things clearly. He could see his body forty feet away from him. He also saw his house and realized he could think and thought about his wife. He told God that his wife wouldn't know how to finish construction on the farm they were rebuilding and she needed him for the taxes. God didn't let him go to his body, God picked his body up and took it to him. (He was in his front yard) And put his soul back into his body so he could live again.

Yes, I do believe there is life after death. If one believes in God and the Bible, then His word plainly tells us that, if we believe in Jesus we have eternal life. The Bible also tells us: To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. The Bible also tells us that Jesus went away by the way of the cross to prepare a place for us who believe.

Iife after death is there for anyone. The question is, will we believe and accept it?

There's life after death, but not as we know it in this physical world. When you die, your body will decay but your soul will continue to live. Many believe you will live in one of 2-3 places: heaven, hell, and maybe purgatory which is a temporary place between heaven and hell. I don't know what those 3 places look like but I don't think it's what you see on the movies. In general, heaven is a positive place, hell a negative place, and purgatory, an in-between.

Yes I do - i'm not sure whether it exits but I think its more of a case of WANTING to believe it exits. I have recently lost my dad (3 months ago) to a shoocking herat attack. He was only 52 and very healthy. The fact that my dad's gone crushes my whole world, so all I hope is that there IS life after death and that I will once again see him!
