ok have light brown hair have blond highlights growing out.

Also have grey coming through. what should i do-
get more highlights?
or get all over colour? and if so darker or lighter than natural colour?

to cover grey hair you want to cover it with a light colour, that way when you get regrowth the difference wont be too obvious. you really do need an all over colour, and get highlights for fun if you want, but for covering grey hair, highlights or no highlights wont make much of a difference.

I will say dye your hair one step darker than your normal colour, and if you like the highlights growing out, you can even put some highlights in

I would prefer to redo the whole colour again
but anyway the colour is really up to you
Cause you have to see which colour suits you best

There is some new product out now where you can do touch up on exposed roots that grown out,I'd try that first.and usually the gray hair blend right in with lighter color,

You may decide as per your inner voice. You will feel more satisfaction and pleasure that way.
