This is an open discussion, so please share, I found this about St Terese the LIttle Flower, I am not Catholic but I found this statement something I think that would please God because it does not draw attention to ourselves, Yes, you may do big, prominent things for God, but do you do the tiny hard sacrifices, do you give away what you love the most to someone who needs it ?
The only way I can prove my love is by scattering flowers and these flowers are every little sacrifice, every glance and word, and the doing of the least actions for love
I think these little "sacrifices" are most pleasing to God because they do not draw attention but are the building blocks of the Godly world, What do you think and what have you experienced ?

The best sacrifice is to give up our will for his.

Yes, we are to have charity. Without charity, you can do all other things right ( keep the commandments, etc.), and you have nothing, as it is written.
However, do not be deceived. It is not good works that please God the most. Faith without works is dead, but works will not save you.
What pleases God the most is the sacrifice of your will. Denying yourself, and your will to do the will of the Father, in obedience to Christ. THIS is what ensures salvation. God's love is unconditional. Salvation through Christ is not. It is conditional, the condition being obedience to Him.
Many want Christ to be their Savior, but few want Him as Lord of their life. HE MUST BE YOUR LORD !
Think about it. The majority of people will not deny their own will. Too many self-centered people. Too many that serve only self. That is what this world teaches, and panders to. A person can get whatever they want, and get it right now.

Your will. That sacrifice pleases God the most.

If you are praying for something and you really want to draw God's attention to it, you could include fasting in your prayers.

Fasting is an old spiritual discipline that has been forgotten by believers. But it has a lot of positive outcomes in our prayer life.

If you fast, you will find yourself being humbled. You will discover more time to pray and seek God. And as He leads you to recognize and repent of unconfessed sin, you will experience special blessings from God.

The life and the good works of the "saints" (believers of Christ) are good examples for each and everyone of us. If we do our "sacrifices and good works" let us try not to advertise it and make our community know about it because its not fruitful anymore but boasting. We are not saved by our good works but good works because of faith is prepared and is important to us.

God wants us to sacrifice self in other words, put our wants and needs aside and put God and others first. When we do that God's power prevails. Being human and fallible, this is easier said than done.

I enjoyed reading this very much! All Glory & Praise to Him!
Hebrews 13:15-16: "By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name. But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased."

When he wrote to the Hebrews, Paul said“Let us hold fast the public declaration of our hope without wavering, for he is faithful that promised.” (Hebrews 10:23) The expression “public declaration” literally means “confession,” and Paul also speaks of “a sacrifice of praise.” (Hebrews 13:15) This reminds us of the type of sacrifice that men like Abel, Noah, and Abraham offered.

When an Israelite offered a burnt sacrifice, it was done “of his own free will before Jehovah.” (Leviticus 1:3) By such a sacrifice, he voluntarily made a public declaration, or acknowledgment, of Jehovah’s bountiful blessings and loving-kindness toward his people. Correspondingly, we demonstrate our faith in the ransom sacrifice and our gratitude for that provision when we willingly and wholeheartedly offer our “sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of lips,” to Jehovah.

While Christians do not offer literal sacrifices—animal or vegetable—they do have the responsibility to bear witness to the Kingdom good news and to make disciples of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 24:14; 28:19, 20) Do you take advantage of opportunities to share in publicly declaring the good news of God’s Kingdom so that many more people can come to know the wonderful things God has in store for obedient mankind? Do you willingly spend your time and energy in teaching interested ones and helping them to become disciples of Jesus Christ? Our zealous participation in the ministry, like the restful odor of a burnt offering, is well-pleasing to God.—1 Corinthians 15:58.

I know that obedience is better than sacrifice.

But on the other hand Jesus was the perfect sacrificial Lamb. He laid down his Life for you and me.

A sacrifice must cost you something if it does not, it is not a sacrifice.

God demanded burnt animals as sacrifices from the Hebrews because he liked the smell of the smoke from the burning flesh.
Look it up, it is in numbers and deuteronomy as well as other places in the bible.

What makes you think God is interested in your sacrifices?
Read Job chapter 35.
It is better just to go and do the things that are right.
