Cost and service are your major differences. The decor stays pretty much the same but the service is what you pay for. You want your Bu** kissed you hit the 5 star hotels but you can get pretty much the same type of room in the 3 star. 5 star hotels are generally better in conditions than 3 star hotels. this is because the number of rooms and restaurants, cleanliness, work welfare, hotel architecture and organisation all have to have high ratings to gain more stars. also, with more stars, the hotel can charge higher rates.
