More than one minister has implied or stated outright that if I were the kind of woman God wanted me to be, I could find a husband. I've already had 3, but something held me back from saying that.
So, my question is, I suppose, do I have to be a housewife, according to southern Baptists, to be pleasing to God?

I am sorry to hear this is happening to you.

My experience is that some Baptist preachers are terribly hard on people who do not fit their "norm." They have no scriptural basis for this treatment of people.

You could try other Bible believing denominations like Grace Brethren or Christian Missionary Alliance.

God Bless!

Is Kentucky southern baptist? I just came from there oak grove to be exact. Does not sound like something that my old church would even think about saying. What is up with all these southern baptist people? they still seem racist and stuck in there old ways? really pathetic
