The question requires revision. "If each person in the world CONSERVES 1 kwh of energy and the population is contained to some extent, could this be a contributing factor for reducing the global warming?"
The answer to your question is hidden in the above revised question.

I tend to agree climate changes have always occured and will continue to do so.
However if we are contributing to these changes by pumping CO2 and other obnoxious substances into the air, and we in the UK are supposed to be controlling it, why is it our government has imposed a law that does the opposite?
I refer to the recent indoor smoking ban.
The majority of our clubs and public houses have been forced into providing shelters WITH HEATERS for those who have no desire to stop smoking. Otherwise they would have lost a lot of customers. Often this heat is wasted by being left on when not required, very inefficient and very costly.
Just how much has this contributed to 'Global Warming' if there is such a thing?

No. Because 'Global Warming' does not exist. However climate change does.

Please will everybody stop using the expression 'Global Warming'. Scary words made up by politicians.

Climate change is inevitable. Humans have speeded up the process (possibly) but the climate of the world has been changing since time began.

People are worried that the ice caps will melt on the alps. Why? they are there because the climate changed so much, the earth had an ice-age, now its going the other way. We can't stop the climate changing. We can be more environmentaly friendly, but we can't change what the earth has been doing for millions of years.

What caused global warming during the dinasaur period in history? I think Al Gore is causing some of it zooming around the world in his gas guzzling jet preaching covservation to all of the great unwashed. I wish they would come up with an electric care that you could pile the kids into and go get milk at the local grocery but until then we are stuck with the combustible engine.

No, the numbers don't "work".

Global warming is much more heat than that.

Basically it's heat from the Sun that's being held in by greenhouse gases we produce. In the past climate was changed by changes in solar radiation, but the Sun has been pretty steady lately, even decreasing a bit.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6290228.stm

"While evidence suggests fluctuations in solar activity can affect climate on Earth, and that it has done so in the past, the majority of climate scientists and astrophysicists agree that the sun is not to blame for the current and historically sudden uptick in global temperatures on Earth, which seems to be mostly a mess created by our own species."

We must stop farting, and go slow-mo when we fornicate.
Also, let's push our cars, exept when going downhill; here we all can get some free energy. Finally, let's take all the fat people and de-grease the lot, using the lard to produce gasoline.

Temperature is always trying to reach thermal equilibrium and hotter energy always transfers its energy to cooler temperatures. I like the one comment about the creation of thermal energy, once you generate heat, you can't destroy it.

Now go and look at massive heat generation that is happening in every city, every state and country. Go to http://www.thermoguy.com/globalwarming-heatgain.html to see temperature beyond your visible spectrum, Does the heat generation just short of boiling temperature appear to be a natural cycle?

The answer has to be yes I'm afraid because energy can only change you can't just get rid of it.
