Don't listen to Fakhru, he is wrong.

If you're not allowed to swallow you're on spit you'd be spitting every 30 seconds. Of course you're allowed to swallow your own spit, you're even allowed to rinse your mouth out if its too dry but make sure you don't swallow any of it.

As for biting nails, I see no problem with it. Seriously why become very strict about such things?

And why are you talking about Ramadan now? It was over about 2 weeks ago! :P

No, biting nails is just like putting food into your mouth aka eting, so till the sun goes down and the morning prayers

sure, just don't swallow them until after sundown!

Is this a serious question or are you playing around? If you are a practicing Muslim then you should know why the fast is taking place. And what it means to fast. If you really don't know I'm sure you can find out from someone who takes the fasting at Ramadan to heart.

I mean, I even know this and I'm not a Muslim

Biting nails is a thing , that reduce 'RIZQ" (Sufficient Sustenance). Read #23 under heading "things reduce that "RIZQ".

Eating is not allowed during fasting in Ramadhan, therefore you can not bite the nails.

Of course it is OK; you're not a muslim.
Bite nails, screws, chair legs, whatever. But don't swallow whole items of furniture because that is against all known religions and disapproved of by the most eminent physicians.
