I'm 18 yet i keep catching myself being attracted to girls who look & act 16/17 yet they are actually 14/15, I seem to be attracting them to me, but i dont know how I am. The "legal age" in aus is 16 but im 18 so it doesnt apply...( does it?)
I need advice on what to do!

i went out with a boy when i was 14 and he was 17 in june 2006
i turned 15 in july
he turned 18 in september
there's was nothing wrong with our relationship
even if some of the things we did were against the law
we often spent the night together at his house
we went on holiday together a few times
and not once did either of out parents question us about it
as long as your happy
and neither of you are pushing the other into things they aren't comfortable with doing age should never be an issue
the law over here for legal sex is also 16
even though i'm not in that relationship now
i'm involved with a guy 6 years older than i am
i'm now 16
(17 in july)
and he's 21
(22 in April)
but its the fact we enjoy each others company that got us together.
anything else is a bonus

As an Australian I can say sex with anyone under the age of 16 is illegal and considered statuatory rape. Even if you are attracted to girls that age, don't act on your impulses.
If you are 18, go to bars and clubs to pick up, they don't let anyone in under the age of 18! Even though some younger ones might get past security, the percentage of 14/15 year olds that manage to do it would be tiny enough to not have to worry about it.

Age of Consent laws also involve things like the number of years between the two people involved. For example, in some (of The United) states, age of consent may be sixteen, and their must be a four or six year age difference. What matters more is probably how girls' parents feel.
It's normal and fine to be attracted to younger women. Balanced, even. And people are stupid: pediphilia (sp?) is specific to prepubescent CHILDREN. I think the word they are looking for is hebophile.

Why would it not apply because your 18??? Anyone having sex with under 16 is illegal..... you could be 16 and the girl could be 15.... your still in the wrong!!!
How do you met these 14 year olds??? Should you not be out with 18 year olds from school, uni, work??? I think it says something about your personailty if you like young girls like that.... are 18 year olds too mature for you??

While it is illegal to have sex under the age of 16 attraction happens to you no matter what age they are or you are. I don't see a problem with being attracted to 14 and 15 years old, you don't have to bang everyone of them.
