Ok how does tiding really work. because im a christian but im mad at god right now because my tidings never work. the situation is called job. i was praying for a job right. so i called my friend up because he didnt have a job and i told him he can come to a jod fair with me. on the day of the job fair i do you know i didnt get to go. but he went and guess what he got a job interview. now i have been praying putting in my tides asking for a job. going out and taking the first step and LOOKING for a job. and i still dont have one. i thought when i take the first step god takes it from there. now im pissed off because my friend got a job his first try and i didnt get one. i thought tide works. what if he has something better for me then give me a sign ................dang man i cant believe this.

tithing is old testament.
if you gave money to God expecting him to give you something bigger that is not giving out of the right heart.
God does not need your money.
You need to give out of a heart that wants to help the spread of the gospel. To help your local church pay its bills and operate.
God loves a cheerful giver. Keep your money if it upsets you . God would rather not have it. Give happily or don't give at all.
I give a good percentage of my money ( i wont say how much because numbers don't matter). I help missionaries. I travel to help missionaries. Travel to street preach. God has always met my need. I have never been hungry, missed a mortgage payment, always been able to provide for my children. The bible says
Psalm 37:25
I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

by the way our church doesnt take an offering. Passing a plate makes people give for the wrong reasons. (pride, guilt shame)

Tithing has nothing to do with looking for a job. Tithing is what you do to give the firstfruits (first 10%) of your salary. The nice thing is that if you don't have anything coming into your bank account----or your wallet---there is nothing to tithe on. But you make it sound like you are trying to offer God a bribe to help you find a job.
Tithing is NOT a bribe. Tithing is what you do to give back to the Lord. Some people preach that "prosperity message" and many people think that if they give to the Lord then nothing bad will ever happen. But that sounds like a buy and sell proposition. God's love and acceptance in not for sale. The only price necessary for that was paid on a cross 2000 years ago.
Get up---dust yourself off---put that attitude off and get out there. Jobs won't find you while you are sitting at the house. And then take the job you are offered until you find the job of your dreams. Sometimes you have to wash a lot of dishes on your way to the executive washroom.

Secondly you can't just sit back and let it fall into your hands, I was in this situation once myself, so listen up. I prayed and prayed, I wanted to get out of the army so bad. But the funny thing was the whole time I wasn't even trying to get out, like find a job and all that other stuff. God was using me to do nothing so I would not find anything and re-up in the army. I finally said one day God please just show me that this is what you want me to do, something physical that I can see. The price is right was on and bam a guy that was called down was in an army uniform. Mind you this was like 5 or 10 minutes afterwards I just got done praying about this. Just be patient with God, God is never late, it is His time not yours.

You see my friend, what so sow in life you will reap. No farmer goes to his land and sow potato seeds and have an expectation in harvesting tomatoes.
You will notice from this scripture that you can put God to the test, for he said so. He is connected to His Word, so if you read His own Word back to Him, He will have to do what He has promised. God is not a man that he should lie.

You mean tithing I think. This is usually 10% of your wages and the whole thing about this is the fact that you are giving freely to God. Sounds to me that you are giving and expecting a reward. It does not work like that. God knows what is in your heart, so its up to you to get a better thought process.
You had a chance to go to a job fair, you did not go, your friend did and he got a job. IS THIS GODS FAULT. I think you need to realise that God does not use a magic wand for lazy people, YOU need to Go and Get this for yourself. The world does not owe you a living. Why should God give you a sign who do you think you are MOSES.
Get a grip and make an effort and try thanking God once in a while for giving you the air to breath.

It is the will of God that you tithe. Tithing helps support the church and spreads his truthful word. Remember , God says pray with out ceasing .God is not a genie that will do as you ask or what you command right here and now .. Maybe the right job is just around the corner. Proverbs 3:5 " Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not unto thine own understanding ". If you are faithful to him he will be faithful to you. Keep praying . It is called "Tithing", giving a certain percentage of your earnings to he church. As a former Catholic, I always wondered where the monies went to that was collected. A cetain portion goes to the parish, ie, mortgage, utilities, payment for the priest. Another portion went to the school, (if there was one.) and it goes from there, to the arch diocese, the diocese.
The monies collected is used to prop the church, nothing more. It was amazing to learn, how little money went back into a community, to helpthose who needed funds to pay for, light bills, doctors, food.
If you were counting on your tithes to help you get a job, best thing I can reccomend, is to go out and pound the pavement. Don't look for a miracle from the church, they already got your money.
