I visited some friends yesterday and we come to discuss about, how do men really get jealous, aside from shouting or hitting the wall. Do men really admits to thier partner that they are jealous or men choose not to say it. My circle of friends are very wide, so we think that maybe its culture thing, age or its just the same in all men.

Surely by now you realize that men usually bottle up their emotions, they are taught from a very early age that crying etc are not acceptable behaviors for a male. Of course eventually all that pent up emotion has to explode and that is when guys raise their voice, holler, hit walls etc. Admitting to jealousy is admitting that a guy feels he doesn't "measure up" and is going to lose something he values very much. It takes a very understanding partner to get a guy to open up and share his feelings, but with patience it can be achieved. Don't fault men for something that Society has dictated since day one.

I can speak for my experience with American men---they will not admit to being jealous!! Example: you start dating, you become closer and commit to each other not to date others...he sees you talking to another guy...maybe a little more talking than your bf would like. Your bf says he is good with that situation. And then your bf will show jealousy later on where you wonder what the heck is wrong. You ask him if that bothered him when you talked to the male friend. And your bf says, "OF COURSE NOT".
And then your bf will do all these little mean things to you (he will start to comment how the other girl really looks good) and say nasty things..and then you start fighting some. Men will not admit to being jealous.
I think the bottom line on why MOST relationships/marriages fail? The man. He wants his cake and eat it too, wont talk or own up to his mistakes.

Hiya Mabel,
My partner expresses his Jealousy by saying things about another man, he will justify why he doesnt like them to make it look like its nothing to do with me.
He will also tell me straight out he doesnt like the way that a person has spoke or looked at me!

all i know in my circle of friends is that we all express it in 2 ways. A) in anger, when initially, yes we COULD be shouting or hitting the wall or B) in silence where we hide everything inside as much as we can but you can just see the green incredible hulk aura that's gonna blow any minute

It varies from Man to Man. About me, I move with very closely and if they do any mistake, I take them to task verbally till I see tears in their eyes. Then my mind will get relaxed! Ofcourse, now I am changed totally as I found that it was a sin.

Some are very verbally aggressive, some are very physically violent (I avoid that type), and some just pout. Jealousy is a terrible thing. It ruins relationships.

I'm very subtle. "You were hit on again, huh? Next time you go to the club, I'm coming with you & I'm bringing Louie (my Louisville Slugger baseball bat)."

rage, anger, depression, insecurity . . . and guys don't tell their partner because there's to much pride and find it's a sign of weakness.
