NO! TO BOTH QUESTIONS.

1 Timothy 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of ALL men, specially of those that believe.

Hell is a middle english word that means covered or conceiled. If God is the Savior of ALL men, especially those who believe, then it would stand to reason that the "lake of fire" is not eternal...

1 Corinthians 3:11-15 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

This last "yet so as by fire" is where the clergy of the church get "hell fire and damnation"... they don't go into the TRUTH of it.... nor the original meaning.

1 Corinthians 15:22-26 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall ALL be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

Best wishes

Hebrews 7:25 - "Wherefore he is able to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them."

Revelation 14:9-11 - "And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever....."

Revelation 20:10 - "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Revelation 20:15 - "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."

Rev.2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen , and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent

Lake of fire is eternal death.
Rev. 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death .
no resurrection after this one.
Life comes from Jesus so if they don't have Jesus
then they are dead forever.
So you are not going to live forever. The soul can die.
The soul that sinneth it shall die . Ezekeil 18:4
Lake of fire (signified) is the final judgement for death.

The Bible says that you must endure to the end of this current world system in order to be saved:

There is no once saved always saved.

Matthew 10: 22, "And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved."

Matthew 24: 13 "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved."

The lake of fire is symbolic. God does say he will destroy the evil, not torture them eternally.
The lake of fire is a symbolism that was used due to certain practices back in those days of sacrifices to pagan gods, and later on of disposing of the dead bodies of criminals and animals in a real place called
Gehenna - see description toward the bottom of the page at, http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Gehenna

Thus this Gehenna - commonly referred to as hell means eternal destruction or existing never again NOT torture as so many clergyman like to preach
Jesus referred to this destruction of both body and soul at Matthew 10: 28 "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna."

The bible says that death is the price paid by us for sin not torture after death:
Romans 6: 23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Genesis 2: 17 "[17] But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."

More proof is that God will ressurrect both righteous and unrighteous some day to live during the thousand year reign prior to the final test mentioned at the end.
Acts. 24: 15 "And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust."

Rev. 20: 1 - 3 "[1] And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
[2] And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
[3] And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season."

Rev. 20: 7, 8 "[7] And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
[8] And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea."

God is just God, and he desire all to turn to him and change his ways, , , , that is why he has been patient with us in this system ruled by Satan (2nd. Cor. 4).

2nd. Peter 3: 9 "God, is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

"If we deliberately keep on sinning after a knowledge of the truth is obtained, there remains no more sacrifice for sin - only a fearful expectation of judgment and a raging fire that will consume the enemies of God" - Hebrews 10:26

Yes - we can lose our salvation.

Short answer - the lake of fire is a symbol for cleansing one's self of sin.

I think everyone will experience salvation:

Long answer is rather long. I talk about it on my 360 blog.

#Thumbs down huh? Whip out your bibles and do a serious study on the subject of the Lake of Fire that burns with sulphur and brimstone. Sulphur and Brimstone in ancient times was burned to cleanse a person evil, to purify them. Not to torment.
