are they afraid to question the Bible for fear that their "faiths"/beliefs might be shaken?

if so, doesn't that show a weak "faith"/belief?

just wondering.

some times i fell the same way you do. i ask someone to prove it and they start quoting me the bible. you get use the very book your trying to prove as truth as your source to prove its credibility that's just stupid. i don't question the existence of God,i just question the way in which we acknoledhe Him. i don't think we can look around this wourld of ours and say that it came from nothing ,considering that nothing ever has

I am not sure what you mean by fundies. Some Christians believe what they have been taught about the Bible and this is called having blind faith. No, this does not show weak faith, it actually shows more faith because it is blind. Others, like myself do question the Bible, mainly because it disturbs me that those who don't believe that Jesus is the Savior that was to come, may not be saved. I continue to study this all the way back to the last apostle and the first writer...it could take years...but so far the evidence appears to be overwhelming in favor of Jesus.

Of ALL the books in print, I have found the Bible to be the only trustworthy one of them all. Out of all it is the only book, that needs no revision, no "forward commentary" no reviews in the dailies.

All other works are flawed, day by day, we discover just how little we truly did and do know about our world, our lives, our past our future simply through the 'revisions to the truth' that we see in our childrens school books. When one such as yourself, skims through its pages in an vaine effort to discredit, defame, belittle, its treasures of knowledge remain locked out of your sight. That is why Paul 2000 years ago wrote,

18For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19For it is written:
"I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;
the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."[c]
20Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

It sums up most in this modern world quite efficiently.

I would love to know why they all get different answers about who God is, from reading the Bible.

it's called blind-faith, and I highly doubt that's what God wanted. even with people, if one truly loves someone, he/she will do the best they can to get to know that person, and love the person even more. I think God wants to be known more as well.

I always assumed that the ones who questioned it were no longer fundies & the ones with blind faith were fundies... or something like that.

As you can see from some of the answers, fundies swallow it hook, line and sinker, conveniently ignoring the wealth of evidence about its true source.

I was lucky to have been born as 'Hindu', 'Holy Bible' I am studying it, from my child-hood, these are all scientific. All the scriptures from Hinduism, Christanity, Sikhism...........they taught us, independant of castes and religions.
