Braveness is the act of being courageous in the face of fear, pain, danger or trouble. It transcends class. In other words, you don't need money to be brave. It is more about the qualities you hold deep inside as a human being. The opposite of braveness is cowardice or cowardliness.

Society has come to define wealth in economic terms. That is how much you have accumulated in terms of money, real estate and personal property whereas the word's root -- weal -- means well-being or welfare. The opposite of wealth is destitution.

Example: You exhibited braveness when you posted your question knowing that the resulting answers might ridicule your asking a question you should be researching yourself. However, Yahoo offers a wealth of insight and observation for people who are simply willing to pose such questions.

"A coward is incapable of exhibiting love.. it is the prerogative of the brave." ~~Mahatma Gandhi

"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." ~~Samuel Adams

"If your only goal is to become rich, you will never achieve it." ~~John D. Rockefeller

"It requires a great deal of boldness and a great deal of caution to make a great fortune, and when you have it, it requires ten times as much skill to keep it." ~~Ralph Waldo Emerson

"My friends are my estate." ~~Emily Dickinson
