I admit I keep things too long, but I can't find the expiration date on my Yoplait yogurt.

Open it up. If it's got green spots, definitely throw it out. If it looks OK, then take a tiny taste. If it's too sour, you can use it in cooking (like pancakes made with yogurt instead of milk). If it tastes fine, it'll be OK.

Good luck, and try and clean the fridge once a week. Or one shelf each day . . . . (-: I think I've got three cartons of expired yogurt in my fridge, so I should practice what I preach.

Yogurt normally has a fairly long use-by date. When I buy them the use-by date is a couple of months away. Use the smell and taste test! If it smells bad, chuck it. If not, it won't hurt you.

Unopened yogurt stays good far past it's sell by date. If you bought it within the past month, it's still ok.

Most yogurts last anywhere from a week to a month/month and a half. Your best bet might be to open it up and see what it looks like. If you see mold, its toast. Also smell.. If it smells funky its probably garbage.
