Tried that just got a lot of dead ends and things that didn't work for word 2007 (as I have now found the doc is from).

However you put me on the right track and I found that Microsofts solutions page directed me to a free download that worked a treat. It's took me all morning to find it V FRUSTRATED with Microsoft tossers just wanting us to buy their latest product.
