You need not have a tertiary education if you have skills to work in New Zealand coupled with a good paying job in order to prove that you can shoulder the expenses of your transfer to New Zealand.

Contact the New Zealand Consulate General and ask. NZ is an extrememly difficult country to get into that they track you like a hawk for years afterward.
They won't hesitate to boot you out if they suspect anything off.
AND
The NZ people hate outsiders. Trust me! I am an F'm Yank and will always be an F'm Yank to these people.
NZ Sucks!
