Jesus helped a lot of people from all walks of life, of the thousands somebody must have thought of a rescue?

I'm thinking save him from the cross, a la SWAT or Delta Force rescue mission.

I'm a believer, just a thought really. I'm thinking, he healed and amazed people. I think I would have tried something.

I see what you're saying but many believers are fickle when it comes to risking their life for a person or cause. They saw the miracles but if you remember the Bible others were too.

The romans were powerful and thought nothing of killing someone just because they were causing problems.

God prevented the angels from intervening so surely it would have been much easier to prevent humans. Both He & Jesus knew it had to happen or all hope was lost.

Many followers went into hiding for fear of their own lives. But after he arose & appeared before them you begin to see the change. During Pentecost Peter rose & spoke to the masses and thousands were added to the faith in one day. Suddenly they were no longer afraid of death.

His death made the difference in God's judgement of us but it was His resurrection that gave them faith & a willingness to speak out in boldness.

We think we'd be different looking back. But they had little to look back at. For all His miracles others were doing likewise & He didn't come down from the cross. He bled & died rather than heal himself. W/o knowing all you know now you (& I) wouldn't risk it. There were no rights then except for roman citizens. To interfer would have brought your own instant death. There was no time to organize a rescue even if they had wanted to. Barabus was a roman zealot which was basically a Jewish hero during that era. Who would choose a badly beaten, bleeding man who claimed to be one with God over a known hero? That's why we all stand guilty. The voices begging for mercy were too few. Even Peter denied Him yet became one of his strongest followers after He rose from the grave.

It was written long before that the Christ should suffer great persecutions and it is for Him to fulfill those prophecy. You can do something, dear asker. Although we were not present at the time of the crucifiction physically,we can become co-bearer of Christ's cross spiritually. It is written in 1Peter 4:13 because doing so we may glorify Him and that we would rejoice in such great joy. In verse 14, if we suffer persecutions because of his name, then we are lucky because the Spirit rests upon us.

True Jesus did accept His fate, but I see where you are coming from here.

You would think with the mass of followers present at His crucifixtion there would have been some type of mobbing.... or perhaps, the disciples were more obedient than the believers today. Ahhhhhhhhh. I think I need to go repent.

If you remember blind Batameus his parents disowned him after the miracle they were very frightened of being put off the synagogue.The romans were brutal people too.

Jesus came here to die for our sins. He resurrected 3 days later.
