well unless it's someone's pet, ie non-native, i doubt you've been bitten by a British spider.
if an exotic, get medical assistance at once!!!

it really depends on what type of spider. if it's a spider from the black widow or redback variety, then you need to put ice onto the site of the bite. Some varieties of house spiders (or essentially those with necrotic poison) require ice. Those bites tend to come up in a sore lump like a bee sting. Don't need an ambulance, but get to the hospital as soon as you can.

Other bites, such as a funnel web, or most other spider bites (can you tell I'm from Australia yet? lol) need to be treated more like a snake bite, as these spider bites will effect your breathing and central nervous system. preferably with an elasticated bandage, bandage from the site of the bite to as high as possible on the limb, then back down again, to the tips of the toes or fingers (depending on the site of the bite). Call an ambulance.

this depends on whether or not you think the spider was poisonous.

if so, then report to the nearest emergency room at once b/c the poison can spread quickly.

otherwise, wash the bite well with warm water and mild soap. apply benadryl or hydrocortisone cream to help relieve itching or any allergic reaction you might have. if the bite is extremely itchy then you can take oral benadryl (but keep in mind it will make you sleepy). take 1-2 of the 25mg tablets every 6 hours as needed but no more than 4 doses in 24 hours.

watch for the following signs. if they occur-then report to the nearest emergency room or urgent care

-increased redness or swelling
-bite area becomes more tender, painful,or hot to touch
-bite begins to drain liquid of any kind (pus)
-you begin to run a fever of 100.5 or higher
-you experience difficulty breathing (wheezing)

these are all signs of infection or severe allergic reaction and you'll need to seek medical attention at once.

I think a spider bite is far too serious a thing to leave to HACKS to answer for you, either go to the a doctor right away, with the spider that bit you , or look in your yellow pages for a poison control center and tell them what happened along with a description of what kind of spider it was and what your wound looks like right now, PLEASE DONT DELAY,,

well you see its called a doctor..

you go to them straight away if you are ever bitten by something poisonous! =]
OH also keep as still as you can so your body doesnt circulate the poisonous blood around your body! =] ..

and like if its in the lowerhalf of your leg wrap up the top half of your leg really tight so that the blood cant transfer the venom to other parts of your body! =]

this is mainly for snake bits but depending on what spider it is .. do that too.

good luck/ get better =] xxx

First of all aspyder is a F1 race car, but it doesn`t have much bite. If you mean spider as in insect then vinigar works well. if it`s poisonous then get to A+E sharpish.
