I just bought the 80 GB this weekend and I'm amazed at the graphics, smooth gameplay, and number of demos and games that are available via the Sony Store online. I know people say that the 360 has a better game library, but I believe developers are starting to catch up and harness the PS3 power and deliver awesome games. NHL 08 is a good example. I think you should buy the 40 GB version when it comes out. The wireless card is built-in and the online service is free of charge. If you don't play online and you don't watch movies, then the 360 may be a better fit for you. If you watch movies or play online, go with the Playstation 3, absolutely. On a side note, in my opinion, the price point of the Playstation 3 is not going to decrease anytime soon. My guess is another year maybe, but definitely not right after the holidays. The recent decrease has really helped their sales and they're already taking a loss on the cost of the hardware. Remember, this console is going to last you at least the next 5 years, most likely 10, so if you think about paying another $100 for the PS3, over 10 years that only $10/year; not much.

Dont bother. The best things to play on ps3 are blu-ray and ps2 games. Wait to see who wins between hd and blu ray before investing in either, and as far as ps2 games go, the new 399 ps3 model cant play them. So... the reason to get the ps3 isnt there. Get a wii, a 360, or a ps2 instead.

well becouse u dnt have much money i cant say go 4 da 60gb ps3 but if u are after a ps3 u shouldnt spend any money on 40gb becouse it has just a few features, so u can get a xbox360 for nearly the same price and play more games on the xbox rember the only diff bettween ps3 and 360 is 1 has bluray and the other has HD. so if i was u i would go 4 da 60gb ps3 but ifu cant affordad it stik 2 a 360 trust me.

Honestly the only reason to buy a PS3 right now is if you want a blu-ray player. Personally I wouldn't buy one until they get a few more games out or unless you were going to get a blu-ray player, because they're cheaper than most blu-ray players. I'm a big fan of Sony and what they did with the PS3, but a system isn't worth anything if you don't have the games to play on it.
and to fight198. If you knew anything about blu-ray you would realize it didn't suck. Have fun swapping cd's on your 360 when games get bigger than the device they're stored on. blu-ray gets rid of that problem.

i reccomend no longer paying for the latest kind. you wont could spend 50 greenbacks on reminiscence playing cards, u ought to continuously purchase ps2 video games that pictures arent mandatory as plenty( gutair hero...and so on) and save 20 greenbacks at a time, and how is two USB ports greater useful than 4? i could heavily purchase the older kind. it may value $one hundred greater down charge, yet u will save with the best points

NAH !!! IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT YET, YOUR NOT MISSING ANYTHING. WAIT A FEW MORE MONTHS UNTIL AFTER CHRISTMAS. ONCE THE HOLIDAY SEASON HAS PASSED, THE PRICE WILL PROBALLY GO DOWN MORE. MOST GAMES WILL HAVE GONE DOWN, PLUS NEW GAMES WILL HAVE CAME OUT BY THEN. CONTINUE TO SAVE YOUR MONEY AND WAIT ABOUT 2 MORE MONTHS AND GET IT AFTER CHRISTMAS OR THE 1ST WEEK IN JANUARY WHEN THEY HAVE THAT BIG SALE !!!
