Sacred?

We're told that God is Love-and He knows the score,

We're told to love our fellow man--& not engage in war.

Yet it seems God is the reason we form our little tribes'

pretending that we're separate--& some deserve to die.

I wonder why.

Wow I love reading and writing poetry
And i must say I very much loved it!
I understood every word
It made alot of sense, Its reality
It sends my brain on a thinking journey
and I love how it managed to keep a steady rhyme.
If you wrote this I am impressed if you didn't -Thanks for sharing.

Star for you!

:)

you have clearly pinpointed the contradictions of being called a christian nation for the most part and being at war (plus all the wars throughout history done in the name of God) but remember that in the last days, there will be wars and rumors of wars. right now there is talk of ww3. remember also that if God is truly a part of a person's life, they will endeavor to love their enemies, no matter how hard it seems. nobody really wants to be at war (unless of course they have played one too many video games and they are de-sensitized to it). it just makes me want to be ready to meet him.

Well, it has inspired me to write this...

When the last leaf is blown
From my life's tree
Will the wind be accused
Of killing me?

(actually, I wrote this many years ago.)

like you must be feeling

I like this prose better, my friend --

If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
If ye love me, keep my commandments.
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
