What if a Highly advanced alien race comes to earth one day, say 2012, just to make it interesting. Anyway, Say they arrive here, and then communicate with us "oh you have done so well, however, you apparently don't realize that we are what gave you life." and the aliens Continue to reveal that They simply created another intelligent being as a form of scientific analysis just to see how we would progress and grow through time. Which then it becomes clear after they explain in detail, That there was no God, just their highly advanced technology wondering and awing the simplistic minds of the early humans that they had created and been in contact with. Would You then finally stop believing in God? also, perhaps they have some sort of Video evidence of this as well. it is an experiment so there must be notes and logs.

haha Printninja that is so true "it was a test!" that would come out of someone's mouth I know it. Man, you know something is wrong with your beliefs when they won't let you explore and other ideas.

no zenbull, The if the Aliens Did make us, the aliens aren't atheists, they Know who made us them. Therefore they could easily claim that there is no God. It could simply be a stupid human thing.

I think many would mistake that Superior Life form for god and address it as such.

If we understand God as creator, and discover that aliens were our creator, then they'd be called god for lack of a better name. Now if they had a creator...

Others consider random chance to be our creator... If someone decides that random chance should be called a god, then that would make theists out of everyone that isn't already, except maybe the agnostics. Some might claim that random chance is omnipresent, eternal, maybe even omnipotent, etc...

Believing the first cause to be at least more intelligent than random chance... DF.

first a superior life form would have to arrive so far there has been none other that a small number of superior human minds that the majority only ignore for superstitious beliefs instead.
What is needed is not a superior being but to raise the level of human intelligence and understanding for what good is a superior being if the people are not equipped to understand .

It can't happen, because it's not the duty of the disbeliever to prove the existence of God one way or another. Therefore alien atheists, no matter how advanced, would be in the exactly the same position the human atheists are.

No, I would believe that it was Satan taking the shape of an alien and I would believe that they were trying to steal my soul. Because you do know that Satan can take the form of different things. So God warns us to be careful because the enemy passes over the earth to and fro seeking who he may devour. I Have seen too many mircles to stop believing in God. So I know that you story is just that. A STORY. Do you also know that there has never been a Christian that was taken by a UFO? Everyone that has ever claimed to be taken by a UFO was always a non-believer. So what does that tell you. Maybe it is Satan and we are protected and non-believers are not.

I used to think that when I was deep into Ufology decades ago. But ultimately I came to the conclusion that I'd start our dialogue with a simple question:

What or who gave you life?

Then we'll have our crumpets and tea...

Peace be with you.

Well, none of what you're describing would constitute proof in my eyes, so I'm sure believers would be 100 times more skeptical.

However......

If aliens were able to conclusively prove that no god exists, I'd wager that PLENTY of theists would go right on happily denying their evidence. Or, they'd say god sent the aliens purposely to test their faith.

I would communicate to the life form that I aleady knew that and invite it in to watch some tv, drink some beers and eat some BBQ.

Darn that is a though one, I guess that I would just have to sit down with them, have a beer and argue politics instead.

That may just limit my conversational skills.

Hehehehehehehe

This is a fantasy just like gods. We do not need aliens to know that all gods are imaginary, we all ready know.
