no. you must be off the meds for 12 months and function normally during thattime before you can request a waiver.

Long term( more than 6 months) treatment for any mental health issue is a PDQ.

People can enlist while taking perscription meds. They have to be evaluated and re-prescribed by a military doctor, but not a big problem.

In your case though, mental issue meds are a disqualifier. The standard is you have to be off it for a year & then get a waiver. For that you'll need a note from your civilian doc saying your fine w/o the meds and no longer suffer from whatever it was (anxiety attacks) that caused the perscription, or that it was misdiagnosed and you're not suffering from any significant mental/emotional problems and do not require medication.

That or you could do what everyone else does, which is quit taking the stuff and don't mention you've ever taken it, but I'm not supposed to tell you to lie, so you know don't lie & stuff.

You really need to talk to a recruiter first... When I tried joining with my hubby they said I couldnt because I have bi polar disorder... I asked well even if I was off my meds for a year I couldnt and he said no... he said the us army will not give me an ak 47 and watch me turn on everybody lol... But idk it could be different for you bc you have adhd... good luck to you!!! HOOAH!!

No....if you are taking a scrip medication for anxiety you are considered as a psychiatric case and therefore unqualifed. Now stop taking that crap and deal with your problems with a clear mind.
