you cant use your laptop during takeoff and landing, additionally if you do want to use the internet i think some airlines do offer internet access but only in first and business class...

Yes you can use your laptop on the aircraft, but like you said you are not allowed to connect to the internet while on the aircraft. The flight attendants will inform you when it is ok to use electronic devices.

You can use the laptop on the plane make sure WIFI is disabled.

Your wireless thing on your laptop has to be turned off. There cant be any live wireless signals from any electronics on the plane. Also, you have to turn off all your electronics when the plane is taking off and landing.

No wifi. Only during takeoff and landing you can not use it, otherwise it's fine. Ask you flight attendant.

I surf the Internet all the time, but you need subscription to one of the broadband services through verizon, sprint, etc.

you can't use your laptop while: taxi,landing and takeoff. otherwise you may use it and ask the crew for prepaid wifi
