Nothing that says anything bad about you. If you are young put hobbies that make you look mature. If you are old put hobbies that make you look modern. A young person putting down playing video games or skateboarding wouldn't help but putting down reading history books or playing golf might look better, don't lie just be selective.
A old person might put down bike riding instead of reading or golf because it shows they are active.

Why would an employer ask for hobbies on your resume? A resume is something you create. And I would recommend you not putting it on your resume. I have hired people for over 8 years, and the hobbies part of the resume is really un-necessary, and usually people put things that are too personal in nature. The people who read that part of the resume are CEO's and company Presidents. And I can assure you, that bunch is the worst when it comes to interviews, most don't think that legal rules apply to them when interviewing. And giving them hobbies to read, will just get them asking you about your family life. Not good.

If they are asking on the application, keep it to non-profit charities and business affiliations that you are an active member of.

Don't make up a list. Look at the things you do and the places you go. That will tell you a lot about what your interests and hobbies are.

Just be honest about what your interests or hobbies are. It helps them to know more about your character. If you like to play golf, that's what you would put. If you like to skateboard then, you would put sports.

Put down something that is related to the job. If you are applying for a job as bus driver, say that you enjoy taking old ladies for drives. (If it's true that yo do it and enjoy it).
