They say that god has three answers to prayer... Yes, No, and Not right now.
I say you'd get the same responses if you prayed to a rock.

it relatively is fantastically puzzling to describe without resorting to the Bible, on the grounds that -- in case you settle for that it relatively is inspired -- it relatively is the only authoratative resource we've for understanding the character of God. That stated, the Bible would not easily state the doctrine of the Trinity. it relatively is, regardless of the undeniable fact that, confirmed on the baptism of Jesus (Matt. 3:sixteen-17) the place you have Jesus, the Spirit visibly descending and the voice of the father proclaiming Jesus to be His Son. otherwise, the thought is puzzling to describe different than by making use of analogy. interior a 4 dimensional universe, character, even regardless of the undeniable fact that it could assume diverse roles, is restricted to one physique. yet God's existance isn't restricted to the 4D universe. he's limitless, the two suffusing and transcending fact as we % it. Being God, he's a 'large-character', to coin a word; the archetype of all different personalities (i think it relatively is what it potential that we are 'made in His image'.). It would not, hence, seem unusual (to me, a minimum of) that His direct interplay with us, His introduction, is interior the form of three different and coequal, yet unified persons.

This might frustrate you, it is discerned spiritually. If you love God, you would know. Claiming a promise, like:
"I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven,"
is different than tempting God by being selfish, seeking your own gain for no good reason than to exalt yourself. And the answer I can give you that most accurately illustrates this is asking for millions of dollars so that you can buy a house for yourself - what's the prayer for? A house, or the millions of dollars? That's a form of double - mindedness, which is not supposed to be a thing that God looks kindly on.

reconcile these two things quite easily...! These are two different contexts. The scripture i think u are quoting about 'when two or three are gathered'... is actually Matt 18:20 ~ and this is talking about agreeing in prayer and the anointing. But why need to pray about something you are purposely going to do that is plain stupid?? hmm...
I can't expect u to understand, especially with a closed mind frame, and your only intention is to try and discredit the Christian faith.
Take care, God bless

I reconcile these two just fine. On the one hand when I have had a situation in my life that required great prayer I have gathered other strong believers to pray with me and have seen our prayers answered. As for not testing God that refers to something like standing in traffic and expecting God to keep you from being hit by a car. I never test God in that way.

There is a big difference between:
1) Asking for something in tune with God's Plan; and,
2) Being presumptuous.

The first is addressed to believers, who by definition know that the result is ultimately in God's hands. The second basically says "Hey God I'm in control, so do whatever I say."

2After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3The tempter came to him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread."
4Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.
skeptics are always saying show me this and show me that
and but the answers are in Gods word but you must be
willing to believe to begin with.
Jesus said his sheep will hear his voice!

That modern Christians cannot step back and see their religion as just another page in a long book of human created religions speaks volumes about the depth of their delusion. When you stand outside all these silly doctrines (as atheists do) and observe the "big picture" you see quite clearly that every excuse, explanation, rationalization, and justification believers use are nothing more desperate grasps at straws.
It's all very, very sad, because humans are capable of so much more than this primitive, hope/fear based thinking.

Actually if you look at the context the first verse seems to be dealing with asking Him to help someone or heal them or spread the gospel. But the other verse talks about giving God trials or tests just because you dont believe He can do it kind of like in Miracle on 31st Street. Where the girl gives santa a picture of what she wants because she doesnt believe he can do it.
