Forget about what girls would "like"; there's a French saying, said to come down from the Romans, that a woman should be half a man's age plus seven years. That would make 19.5 appropriate for 25.

Now, of course longevities have changed since Roman times, when women had bad odds of surviving childbirth, but the idea is presumably to assure fertility for any union. Unfortunately, while hardly noticeable at the ages you are interested in, it does seem to describe the "trophy wife" phenomenon where older men, usually financially successful, hook up with younger women to start new families.

I would suggest you only date at young as 18 for legal reasons. There is no reason to create a scandal even if a younger girl is willing to date you. Its less about age and more about phase of life. If you're in a post-college/early career phase of life, you'll probably relate with someone going through something similar.

Of course you'll always find a young girl that wants an older boyfriend, but dating someone like that would make you the creepy guy that hangs around the high school. Don't be that guy!
