Why do keep on insisting that there is a creator?
What moves you to believe in something that was introduced to you as an impressionable child, and reinforced by continued indoctrination, and for which you or anyone else has zero evidence that such an entity actually exists? Why??
Is not the history of man sufficient evidence to suggest a much more realistic alternative concept, that all gods are inventions of man?
You can call 'proof' by whatever name you like but is still valid.
You can assume that none of we atheists ever led a religious beginning to our lives if that idea pleases you but it is, more often than not, untrue.
Science is NOT always the truth. Sometimes there are errors but those errors are corrected with 'proof' and/or repeatable experimentation and calculation to become the truth. There are many areas which are still 'concepts' within science but, with applied intelligence, I and millions of others would far rather go with the science flow than follow the dogma created by ancient man to answer the questions that no-one could several thousand years ago and the 'God did it' solution was then readily-accepted.
You think that, by seeing and appreciating what scientists are doing is not thinking for oneself? How deluded! I am not trained in the intricacies of quantum physics and I rely on those who are so qualified to do that thinking for me. Nothing wrong with that.
Making scientists gods? Ridiculous assertion.
I DO deny your testimony, as it is based on archaic thinking and, in many areas, bare-faced lies, all unsubstantiated. I don't deny it because you are not a scientist but simply because I accept reality into my life and not fantasy. Your concept is just that - fantasy - and no matter how much you have convinced yourself that all the religious waffle is true, wanting it to be so does not make it true.
I realise that it would be wonderful if there was an after-life in a perpetual holiday camp but it just isn't real - it's just a false reward offering to make you behave in a certain way. You have been conned by the best confidence trick ever performed on an unsuspecting populace but that was a LONG time ago.
This is 2007 and we no longer need artificial gods to control our lives. Those of us who were not indelibly brainwashed by well-meaning parents and similarly-deluded teachers have assessed all there is to assess about religion and we reject it out of hand. ALL of it. I did this when I was 12 years old, which is, apparently, the average age of reason for youngsters. Fortunately, I was in a position where, unknown to me at the time, both my parents were atheists and, therefore, I was not forced into a life of stupidity.
Choose reality and all this religious claptrap falls away from your clouded mind and you become a real human being and not a foolish sheep.

There are 76 books in the bible wrote by approximately 40 different men at different times in history. Yet all of the books add up and match each other. So I don’t see how anyone could be so ignorant as to not believe the Truth of God’s Word found in the bible. The reason all 76 books match is because all were inspired by God. Not to mention all the great prophesies that were foretold thousands of years before they came to pass. There are things that are foretold in the bible that some of us can be witnesses to today, like the Jews being brought back to Israel in 1948, which was foretold in the bible over 2500 years ago. The one world religion that is about to happen is foretold in the bible, among many, many other prophases. These are just two. I can understand people not wanting to believe things that were foretold and then fulfilled years and years ago, but why is it so hard for them to believe things that were foretold thousands of years ago that they can now see happening right before their very eyes?

I've never met your creator. The danger of looking to other men for everything I know is no different from you looking at a book some people call "holy" and believing it's the actual word of an imaginary God just because other men have been telling you so ever since you were born.

Your "testimony" is just a manifestation of your beliefs and faith, not evidence that there is a god. If it was just one scientist talking about evolution, I probably wouldn't even give a thought. But there are too many--and evolution is way more logical than the existance of gods to me. As an atheist, I'm not asking you for "truth."

How come you deny the invisible pink unicorn?
same answer for both questions.
I choose to deny your testimony because personal testimony is NO KIND OF EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE! That is a logical fallacy known as an "argument form personal experience".

I don't demand proof -- none is obtainable -- but I do demand evidence. I deny your testimony because it is not evidence -- it is merely your deluded opinion. If you can actually present evidence, I will be the first to acknowledge it. For what this means, see:

I don't believe what a scientist tells me automatically, I don't believe what a priest/rabbi/imam or whoever else tells me automatically, I do my own research for the truth.
And yes I have searched for God with all my heart, I was a christian for a year and it added up to nothing.
