I suffered from anxiety and panic attacks for a long time after a car accident I was in. It is always possible for it to come back. I would go months without it coming up and then all of the sudden it would come back real bad. If it comes up again I would look into doing some therapy. Sounds like you have it under control though.

Anxiety, In Short, is a *****...I went through it and panic attacks...I too am glad that things have straightened out that I don't and haven't had to deal with it in a while. Hope to never have to, but if you feel it coming on...Mind Over Matter, most everything is capable of maintaining...Especially when it has to do with your own personl reactions, responces, you know your body...I think we all could learn to read ourselves better...If we could do that it might eliminate alot of undo Hypertension that we as a society carry today as a burden...Hope this helped...Also Breathe in on calm Breathe out on down....But mean it when you do it...good stuff....does help tho...It did me anyway... Wish you the best...

My heartfelt condolences, sincerely. I can honestly say I KNOW what you are going through. My mother passed away on May 24, 2004, then while still grieving for her, my niece and two nephews were killed in a tragic car accident on June 26, 2004. I know that I still feel very sad at times, five years and I still have moments where I cry, we will always remember the ones that leave us, our tears are for ourselves, we feel abandoned, and at times alone. You can only keep moving, keep breathing, eventually, some days will seem like you are your old self. Good luck, and again my condolences.

You may want to ask your doctor for a small amount of anti-anxiety medication to have on hand. It's a good balance to "feel like it all never even happened" yet to be aware of the season or the stressors that were present at the time...and to be ready to take care of your health if need be.

Panic attacks occur randomly, some people may not have an attack for years, then all of a sudden they'll get one out of nowhere. Panic attacks never go away, all you can do is try to cope with them or get medication.
[EDIT] Why am I getting thumbs down? What I said was complete fact. I suffer from panic attacks as well.

I have been depressed a number of years and have been taking medications for such. As I understand it, people do not all react to depression similarly. Some have had spells that reoccur and some have been healed completely. I'm glad to hear you are doing fine, as I take my medication to help me get some sleep for a long stressful day.
