My face seems to get irritated when I shave with a Mach3, or any straight razor. I have used an electric for almost a year now daily, and was wondering if I could bring that to boot camp my recruiter was iffy about it. Hopefully someone who has recently been to Lackland can HELP!!!

Better be sure that it shaves to standard or you'll get written up on a daily basis. Also, remember how clean that thing was the first time you took it out of the package? It has to be cleaner than that for daily inspection. You CAN take one, but getting it that clean in the time allotted for personal hygiene is going to be rough.

yes but most likely it wont be good enough to shave with for the military standards. To save embarrassment just buy a regular razor

You can bring anything you want to basic, but most of your personal belongings will be locked up and not returned until you leave. Unless you have a medical condition called pseudo-folliculitis, which causes severe irration and usually affects black people, you will be shaving with a razor.

Yeah! but you wont be allowed to plug it in so if you think you have sensitive skin now, imagine what it will be like after you sand it everyday with an unplugged razor.

You can,

But be warned, you will have to clean it completely

After every single time you use it.

IE:

No hairs can be left on it at all, anywhere, inside or outside.

And basicly, thats impossible to do during basic training.
