Ok...I don't know where to start but I will try to make sense. I won't go into much detail about the story but try to understand my point. There was a woman who murdered her three children back in the 80's and she claimed she always had a desire to murder people as far back as she could remember, even as a young child. My question is, if she ALWAYS had a desire to murder, then why did God allow her to have this desire if children are born "perfect"? Not everyone has this desire to murder, but there are one's who do and I wondered why God allows them to have this desire as young children.

I guess what I am trying to say is did she develop these desires or was she born with them? If she was born with them, why did God allow ther to be born with the desire to murder?

quest girl: if she was "just plain evil" then why would God allow somebody to be born plain evil?

Well, I have to be honest with you. I believe the desire to murder sometimes has a chemical basis to it. Here is my story and why I believe it is due to a Chemical imbalance.

I took Prozac for a long time and it worked wonderful for me. Once I had a baby,(my body chemistry had changed) I tried to go back on it and oddly, I kept having homicidal urges.(I didn't originally attribute it to the medication as it had never reacted that way to me before) I hated it. I prayed that God would not allow me to hurt anyone. Being a Christian, I was so confused because it really went against my whole belief system. This urge finally went away once I figured out the medication was doing it and stopped taking it.

Many psychologists would like to say that either it was a mixture of the medication with some other drug., ( I wasn't on anything else and don't even drink!) or that we had that urge before and it just made it worse. (ok, people who know me, know this is not in my make-up..... to kill or harm others is not anything like the real me) I blame it completely on the medication.

If Medication can alter my brain chemistry to cause me to have homicidal urges, I imagine a genetic glitch can also cause someone to be born with that type of problem. Children are NOT born perfect, they have all sorts of genetic problems because we are so far from the pure gene pool now that generations have been kept away from the tree of life. Generation to generation we are rotting slowly, eroding the perfect picture of what God had intended for us.

God allows this erosion to take place because Satan has accused him of being a dictator and basically wanting everyone to worship him instead of having their best interest at heart. Satan took 1/3 of the angels with him by his lies and left a question in many minds. God has to let sin play out on this earth so that all (angels and humans and any other species out there) can see, His rules are not because he wants to be cruel, but because He loves us and wants us to be safe. If the people of earth had followed God's rules, these problems and erosions would never have taken place. Once Sin has played out on this earth, there will be no doubt that God has rules because of His love for us!

As for the individual, there are several options for this person. Since they were born with the urge to kill, once they realized it is wrong, they could pray to be relieved of it and I believe if they truly trust God, he would relieve them of it. God does not grant all miracles but If a person asks to be relieved of a sin, God WILL do that.

The secular answer to their problem is to visit a psychiatrist and get medication that will hopefully help balance their chemistry and remove the urge. ( I mean if a medication can make a person homicidal, it goes to reason a medication could also cause them to loose this urge)

She developed them because of the conditions of her young life. The brain and the nerves in the body can change depending on a persons surroundings, so the types of behavior she experienced as a child changed her brain to crave murder or to think that it was acceptable. God had nothing to do with it. Certainly he/she would not cause a child to want to murder, or even cause an adult to want to murder. And satan couldn't do it because he/she doesn't exist. There is a logical explanation to this, as there is to many/most things. God isn't involved and doesn't have to be considered a part of everything.

okay, first of all, God doesn't create perfect babies because we are all born with a sinful nature. nobody had to teach you how to sin, you already knew that you had to sneak the cookie from the cookie from the cookie jar, or else you'd get caught, because it was wrong, and you knew it was. but you did it anyway.

second of all, God doesn't create desires into people, they develop in each person differently on how they were raised. that lady who killed her 3 kid because she "always had the desire to kill" developed that desire as a kid. either things she did that her parents let her get away with, or the way her parents parented her led her development of her personality.

a baby's personality is mostly developed within the first year or two of birth. this is not an act of God, but he does not force things from becoming evil, he gave us the responsibility and the freedom to choose our path. either her or her parents made a really bad choice, and God had nothing to do with the bad choice that was made.

Who said children are born perfect (sinless)? The Bible certainly doesn't say that. We are born with the tendancy to sin and with a sinful nature. Even very small infants can demonstrate the sin of selfishness. Sure, they don't know any better, but that doesn't change the fact that they do.

To me God is very serious, but at the same time I think He does have a sense of humor..Am sure he looks down upon us and has a few laughs every now and again. He would have to have a sense of humor look what He has to put up with from all His children

A perfect being, which God claims to be, is, by definition, incapable of making anything that isn't perfect. Since this person doesn't fit the definition of perfect, then either God made a mistake (which means that he's not perfect) or there is no God.

children are born of no sin, so that equals perfection. however we as we grow up, we are then able to sin so that makes us not perfect, we have free will and some choose bad things (to put it lightly) and some choose good. She sounds like to me someone who may have serious mental problems or is just plain evil.

To know about the bible you really have to study a lot, and have an open mind. This is a guess from what I think I've learned. We have been given free will. Also, if we believe in God we have to believe in the Devil, who comes only to rob, steal and the other thing.

It's realllly hard to believe anything in the bible because it was written by an arab!!!!!! Theologians are the ones that start the wars with their beliefs. Why in the bible are dinosaurs and australopithicus not mentioned at all?? Maybe a so-called "bible scholar" can lead me to believe otherwise. People kill people because they can, and we are the only species to do so. Instead of being called followers, maybe we should be called"God's Failed Experiment".

The full answer is long and complex to explain, but short:
Children are born into sin and they do sin.. Children are not born perfect, although with God all things are perfect.
The woman who did the killing is just as perfect as the babies that have been delivered at birth.
She did what she was supposed to do. Men's laws are made to be broken.
Men says that the woman killed her children. but God says it's when you lead someone from God is when you actually kill someone.
Anyway, to learn the in depth reason why, you'll have to learn to become one with the mediator/Christ Jesus/Son of man.
