I just can't understand why “Christians" ignore the Old Testament law and say "Jesus died for our sins, so the Old Testament law doesn't apply to us” Then when it comes to things like Gays and Witches they use the Old Testament laws to condemn.

JESUS taught us to love one another! He also taught us not to Judge others!
Can you find me a scripture where JESUS himself condemns Gays and Witches? Not the words of one of his disciples or a man who was a tax collector and was blinded but the words of JESUS!

1 Corinthians, Chapter 6
2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

John
Chapter 8
15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.

16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.

Matthew
Chapter 7
1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.

2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Luke
Chapter 6
27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

39 And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?

I don't think it is possible! To teach God's love is not ONLY by word but by witnessing by your actions and being yourself, and if you call your self a "Christian" your self should be "Christ-Like" and you should not have hate in your heart.

As far as the old testiment... Jesus died for our sins, yes, but that doesn't mean the Old Testament is irrelevant! The only thing that means is that you don't have to sacrifice a spotless lamb to be forgiven of your sins... You come to the Father by Jesus.

About gays, I don't agree with it... the Bible says it is an abomination for a man to lay with a man and a woman to lay with a woman. I wouldn't tell someone that they are going to hell if that is their lifestyle tho! The Bible says don't judge... so if being gay is a sin and judging who will or won't go to hell is a sin... that would make me just as much a sinner. The Bible also says that no sin is greater than another. That is where I get annoyed at people... when some Christians go around with a Bible in one hand and pointing you and everyone else out for their shortcomings when they them selves are sinners!

About the witches... I don't agree with that either. I believe in premonitions and I believe in visions and speaking in tongues but I also think that Satan can make these things look Godly when they are not. He is a liar and great at it. This is something that is a really tough subject to talk about. It is hard to determine what is of God and what is of Satan sometimes...

But yes, I agree with you! It is important, not only for the Christians-but for EVERYONE, to love one another. I think that everyone has a purpose... you don't have to agree on everything 100% to be friends with someone or to love someone.

I think "dislike" is a better word than hate. When I have people that I dislike, I ask the Lord to help me get rid of that dislike because I can't do it on my own, and if you take that into to your heart, it will get easier. And use hate if that's how you really feel. And try to find out what the reasons are that you hate that person. Sometimes it has something to do with you. Like in your childhood, or something you do at times that this person does and that's one of the things you hate about them.
I don't know if this helps you any, but I put in a try.
And I've always wondered about that second part of your question too.
Good luck on more answers.

The first person answered one part but I will like to speak on when someone say that they should not judge. Judging is not telling you that you are doing wrong, judging is more like being the one who convicts you and what Christians do is tell you the word of God. And it is not hatred but love for our brothers that we let them know this. If you encounter a Christian that says that they hate you or shows it, then they are wrong. No Christian is perfect or sin free.

"Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself."

Actually, the Jews and Christians who believed in Allah as One God - and they tried to obey the commandments of Allah and follow the message which Allah sent with their particular messenger (such as Abraham, Moses, Jesus, etc.) are mentioned many times in Quran: They are not all are the same; among the People of the Scripture is a community standing [in obedience], reciting the verses of Allah during periods of the night and prostrating [in prayer]. They believe in Allah and the Last Day, and they enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and hasten to good deeds. And those are among the righteous. And whatever good they do - never will it be removed from them. And Allah is Knowing of the righteous. [Noble Quran 3:113-115] But he loves us all. Verily, those who disbelieved, and died while they were disbelievers, the (whole) earth full of gold will not be accepted from anyone of them even if they offered it as a ransom. [Noble Quran 3:91] Those who die while disbelievers, will only receive payment of their good deeds here on earth, in this life. But their deeds will not be accepted from them on Judgment Day, even if they spent the earth's fill of gold in what was perceived to be an act of obedience.

Anybody has no right to judge a person for his /her former facts because everybody has a chance to find and to choose the wright way anytime - you'll never know everything about a person, only God knows everything.
We do not condemn Gays and Witches, but we have to delimitate ourselves by their errors and sins. And that doesn't mean "hate".

Apples and oranges indeed. Which sin is worse? Homosexuality or adultery or lying? You're right, if you're Christian, you may choose to only follow Jesus' direct words and just leave the rest of the Bible alone or just ignore the whole Bible and everyone that uses the book as a rule book and throw it back at them.

I think many Christians forget that, while hating sin, we are also to love the sinner. Hypocrisy is very attractive to anyone's ego, and we Christians are no exception.

Do you have any idea how annoying it is to have a complete stranger pop out of the woodwork and tell you what's in your heart, then condemn you for it? Homosexuality is a sin. Witchcraft is a sin. Those things haven't changed. And yes, I love homosexuals and witches. If you have a hard time believing that then you might need to check your own bigotry meter. Good day.

ps. It's also quite annoying that you misquote scripture. But that's another topic for another day...

By your definition, I guess Satan will go to heaven.

We are not the ones who will judge the sinners.
For us it is a warning not to sin.
We warn each other not to fall into sin because we believe in God. To be a Christian you must be willing to live the Christian life. If you want to be Gay that's fine. However it's oranges and apples.
