Does the army allow active duty members to be live organ donors?

Yes.. my husband is active duty (army 18years) and gave me his kidney in Nov. 2004 with no problems...

Organ donation generally occurs after death. Yes you can be an organ donor if you have it in your living will, or are registered as an organ donor with your state DMV, or what ever they call your agency that you get drivers license.

It would be difficult. First of all, organs for donation are harvested from living beings. And the loss of that organ (like a kidney) would make you ineligible for retention.

hmmm, that's a good question. I would assume no, for the same reason that organ loss is a DQ for enlistment.

yes I think so

The only thing would be if you just came back from over seas they wouldn't be able to use then same with giving blood.... or that is my understanding anyways.
