Sounds like a sick scene in a an old horror movie. How can any kind of blood make anything clean, white or pure? Do these blood cults really believe this stuff? Years of working in surgery show that blood doesn't make anything clean, white or pure. Neither does death, willing or not.

Guess it's just one of those blood cult things, like slaughtering animals or murdering someone to please their bloodthirsty deity. I don't get it and don't want to. If there is a heaven, it will be filled to the brim with atheists and pagans who follow truth rather than books full of murder, half truths and outright lies.

Just because it’s a symbolic metaphor doesn’t mean it’s appropriate to associate blood and suffering with life and forgiveness especially for ‘sins’ that are often neither immoral nor wrong. And, C.L. Retardson, you should be as fortunate as to be able to think as rationally as a dog. As usual, you display the all too common demeanor of many (not all) of the people in your cult. Your avatar is an appropriate symbol of your personality.

Ha! These people think blood can atone for anything. Blood is not just life, it is alive. It carries the imprint of the person or animal it came from. You can't hide behind blood, but you can sure make a smeared mess out of it. Blood is powerful in the energies it contains, but it is not powerful enough to eliminate anothers bad deeds. Blood just covers up the bad deed, it does not get rid of it.It's like as long as god sees blood then everything is all right. We must now ask ourselves why does god want blood so much? It is something peculiar about him. It has to do with the elite bloodline. They are the same way about "blood and water".

The shed blood of Christ is was saves a person from hell....that is....if they receive the free gift of salvation. Salvation means that we are saved from something. We can't save ourselves from this world of sin and crud. Only Jesus can. jesus, because of his sinless life makes his blood pure. Because we trust that his death(the shedding of his blood) and resurrection is the only way to heaven and freedom from sin.

Baptism does not save us. Baptism(water) is ordered by God for those who already have Christ. Baptism(in the Holy Spirit) happens only when you have Christ. This can happen at any time, baptised in water or not. When you receive Jesus as Lord and Savior...you also receive the Holy Spirit, but this is not always the baptism of the holy spirit.

In the old testiment, the shedding of blood from goats or rams was used to COVER sin. But the shedding of Jesus blood, REMOVED sin. Therefore, sacrifices are no longer needed. Understand that the reality of Jesus shed blood was real, he did walk in the flesh. But the removal of sin is spiritual.

So the washing of our souls by the blood of Jesus...is spiritual. You dont see it....but you know it, if you will only believe.

What can wash away my sin....Nothing but the blood..nothing but the blood of Jesus...

This is a song we sing often in my church. Without the blood of Christ...there would be no church.

Heb 9:22 Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.

It's the ol' ooga-booga story of the ignorant ones who kill and say, better YOU than ME. Praise Jesus for he shed his blood for me.

Shows a real mature person who is willing to take personal responsibility for their ignorant behaviors doesn't it ? Like YOU, I too see all this ignorant behavior as something out of the prehistoric days but I, just like you have tryed to show Christians just how stupid this all is. Good luck, for I found out I could probably show a monkey how to use a computer with alot less effort than to show a christian that someones MURDER doesn't ATONE for their own stupid behaviors to a Lord who in comparison to us would see this as the belief of parasitic CANNIBALS

Its a metaphor.
In the old testament, before Yshua-Jesus- the Israelites cleansed themselves from sin with the blood sacrifice of bulls and goats.
When Jesus came, He is called the Lamb of God, because His death and blood took our sins away if we accept Him as our Saviour.
It is a loving act from a loving God-nothing sick about it.

you're right, that doesn't really make sense. when we are baptized, our sins are gone, but also, we are "marked" with the blood of Christ, spiritually. think about the first passover, where the Hebrews had to mark their doors with pure lambs blood. in the same way, we must mark our sould with the blood of Christ, which is the only way to enter the kingdom of Heaven.

Christ's blood is the atonement for sin. If one accepts and follows Christ then seeks forgiveness for their sins and is baptized they are washed in the blood of Christ which makes everything new again. Clean as snow

Nice try.

If you don't understand the figurative suggestions in such a statement, then there's much for you to learn (but only if you have an open mind).
