It is "against nature". (Romans 1:26-27)

It is contrary to the way God designed the body. Our bodies are designed for sexual relationships between men and women. (God has ordained this for married men and women.)

Homosexuality goes against this natural design. It is a perversion of the way we were made.

(This is the same reason Leviticus 18:33 gives for why we should not have sexual relations with animals!)

But, you have obviously already been given the best answer. It is wrong because the Bible says so!

Why does the Bible say so? Because that is the way God wanted it!

If the Bible says it, that settles it! It doesn’t depend on if you agree, or disagree. It doesn’t depend on if you understand the reasons or not. It doesn’t depend on how much you like it, or dislike it! (2 Timothy 4:1-4) The Bible is God’s word, therefore, if the Bible says it, that settles it!

It's not wrong. How does the Bible address homosexuality - the word didn't even exist until 1869? The word first appeared in Germany to describe the theory that from birth some people are predisposed toward persons of the same sex. Since the biblical languages (Hebrew and Greek) had no words for heterosexual or homosexual, it is anachronistic and misleading when homosexual is used to translate a biblical text. It is wrong to proclaim the biblical view of homosexuality since there is none. This violates the integrity of the individual texts and the biblical witness as a whole. Each reference to what is today homosexuality must be read in the light of the particular literary, cultural, and historic contexts of any particular passage.

If Jesus ever said anything about homosexuality, it is not recorded in the Bible, even mistranslated. He did, however, speak extensively on God's unconditional love. Yet instead of dwelling on biblical love, Christians have historically been more concerned with obscure passages of Levitical cleanliness codes and Paul's misunderstood comments in Romans. Instead of focusing on the incredible injustice and hatred demonstrated by Christians and others, tying to deny homosexuals even basic civil rights, people appear more concerned with the specific homosexual acts between consenting adults who are naturally have a homosexual orientation. As James B. Nelson notes, the Bible more clearly advocates a "love ethic" rather than a "sex ethic."

There are only 4 scriptures that are taken to say anything about homosexuality; the Leviticus laws, I Cor 6:9, Romans 1:26-27, and the story of Sodom and Gomorrah - and none address loving, consenting homosexual acts as we know them today.

There are over 600 individual "laws" in the Levitical code, the breaking of anyone of which would make the sinner unclean and unacceptable to God. It is an abomination to eat pork, etc. The law is no longer in effect and its purpose was to show that man could never follow it. The sins of Sodom and Gomorrah, likewise have nothing to do with homosexuality.

Well, in the Bible it is quite cleary wrong. "Homosexuality is an abonimation to God". And there are many verses that suggests that homosexualtiy is wrong. But just because the Bible says it is wrong, doesn't make it wrong. On the other hand, those verses rather discredits the Bible.

Because back in ancient times, marriage and children were very important in the Middle East and part of it had to do with property rights, the need to populate a globe that didn't quite have a billion people yet, and other social and legal mumbo jumbo.

These days it's just an accepted tradition to disagree with homosexuality and claim it's wrong for natural or religious reasons.

I think the Bible says it's wrong because it supports the idea that sex should be only for procreation, not for recreation. It supports the idea that touching another person and practicing a sexual act should be between a married couple with the aim of creating offspring. Since men having sex with men and women having sex with women is not for procreation and an indulgence of an urge that Christianity believes should be purged then the Bible deduces that it is not a pure act that should not be encouraged. I'm Catholic, and I know what the bible says about it, but I say people can do who they want to do as long as they don't make a big deal about it and don't try to convert me. Hope this helps you out!

I don't know why. To be truthful, I don't believe it is wrong. My cousin is gay. Everyone thought he might have been for a long time before he even "came out of the closet" as allot of people like to say. I just can't see how God could make someone gay, then punish them and call it wrong.

Please note that that particular chapter in Romans was referring to ritualized pagan homosexual temple prostitution, not loving and committed relationships between people of the same sex. Also note that Mosaic law and the ancient Jewish cleanliness code are not followed anymore in Christianity.

The bible DOESN'T say it's wrong, so no one will quote a passage to you.

They LOVE to point to the bible, but those who know it (like myself) KNOW the bible actually endorses homosexuality, not the other way around.

Don't get sucked in by their lies.
Those that fear, lie to support their agendas.

It's not wrong dear and the Bible does not say that it is.
There are even some homoerotic events in the Bible:

"The Bible’s same-sex “relationships” that appear to have progressed well beyond casual friendship!

“Jonathan strips himself naked before David, offering him his rich garments, sharing with him all his worldly possessions,

"And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was upon him, and gave it to David, and his garments, even to his sword, and to his bow, and to his girdle."

{1 Samuel. 18:4}

David laments thy love to me was wonderful, surpassing the love of women.

{2 Samuel. 1:26}

"they kissed one another, and wept one with another, until David exceeded. And Jonathan said to David, Go in peace, forasmuch as we have sworn both of us in the name of the LORD, saying, The LORD be between me and thee, & between my seed & thy seed for ever. And he arose and departed: & Jonathan went into the city."

{1 Samuel. 20:41-42}

Jonathan strips himself before the youth, handing him his clothing, remaining naked before him. When they first make their covenant, not long after their first meeting, the reason supplied is simply because Jonathan "loved [David] as his own soul."

{1 Samuel. 18:3}

Jonathan warns David to hide because he "delighted much in David"

{1 Samuel. 19:1-2}

Jonathan, the eldest son of Saul and a general of the army, is immediately struck with David on their first meeting, David, & Jonathan loved him as his own soul."

{1 Samuel. 18:1}

To get rid of David,requesting a hundred enemy foreskins in lieu of a dowry (marriage), hoping David will be killed trying. David however returns with a trophy of two hundred foreskins & the king is obligated to fulfill his end of the bargain.

"Then said Jonathan unto David, 'Whatsoever thy soul desireth, I will even do it for thee' ... [and] Jonathan made a covenant with the house of David, saying, 'Let the LORD even require it at the hand of David's enemies.' And Jonathan caused David to swear again, because he loved him: for he loved him as he loved his own soul”

{1 Sam. 20:4}

David & Jonathan were heroic figures of the Kingdom of Israel, whose intimate relationship was recorded favorably in the Old Testament books of Samuel.

Jonathan & David cared deeply about each
other in a way that was certainly more tender and intimate than a platonic friendship.

When alone together, David confides that he has "found grace" in Jonathan's eyes.

Throughout the passages, David & Jonathan consistently affirm and reaffirm their love and devotion to each other. Jonathan is willing to betray his father, family, wealth, and traditions for David.

He explicitly states, on hearing of Jonathan's death, that his love for Jonathan is greater than any bond he's experienced with women. Furthermore, social customs in the ancient Mediterranean basin, did not preclude extramarital homoerotic relationships.

The Epic of Gilgamesh, which predates the Books of Samuel, depicts a remarkably similar homoerotic relationship between Gilgamesh and Enkidu.

Numerous passages elude to a physically intimate relationship between the two men: Jonathan's disrobing, his "delighting much" in David (and his nakedness?), and the kissing before their departure.

Saul accuses Jonathan of "confusing the nakedness of his mother" with David; the nakedness of one's parents is a common Biblical sexual allusion

{Lev. 18:6-19}

David's "bowing three times" before Jonathan and David's subsequent "exceeding"…has been suggested this is a reference to oral sex and ejaculation…or perhaps David had an erection some biblical scholars hypothesize. "

It isn't wrong. Period. The Bible was written by ignorant men in a savage time. That's way the Bible says that it's wrong.
