exfoliating is more of a deep cleanse and if you do it too much you'll dry your face out. However, face scrubs are mild and tend to just get out oils and {dirt!!}. I use neutrogena daily face scrub and i've been having clear skin ever sence. no exfoliating for me though.

Daily scrubs tend to be more fine and gentle. Exfoliating 1-2 times a week is good for you to cleanse the pores. I wouldn't recommend a daily scrub for anybody, especially people with sensitive skin. I would suggest a medicated cream cleanser such as Noxzema's Daily Cream Cleanser. This will keep your skin healthy and clear, without having to use extra moisturizers. A great 'exfoliating' masque is Clinique's Turnaround 15 Minute Facial. It brightens the skin and exfoliates gently. I love this stuff. If you do prefer to use a daily scrub, choose one that has very fine grains in it because exfoliating every day can irratate skin and actually CAUSE acne. Good luck! ♥

If the scrub contain phthalates (fragrance), there are known increases in cancer risks, genitally deformed male offspring and liver damage.
If the scrub contains benzoyl peroxide, there is a known increased risk of skin cancer.
If the scrub contains triclosan, there is a known increase in risk of strengthening MRS resistance.
Considering most commercial products contain one or more of the above, I would have to say they aren't very good. At least I'd never put that stuff on my skin for any reason. Too many studies say they cause way too much damage.
In addition, the chemicals used in these products leach into our water table and some even react with sunlight to create dioxins.

I use the Proactiv solution from the ads on TV is has kept my face better than ever. No more break outs. Its rough having acne even at my age. Its all those oils that plug your pores and make blackheads and the pustules too. keep your hands off your face and do not pick, I know it is easier said than done but that causes bacteria to grow. Find a good Dermatologist and have some chemical face peels, and blackhead removals at the office. They may prescribe Accutane medication to help from the inside and of coarse watch what you eat. Lots of grease makes things worse. Good Luck!!

I personally don't use any facial cleansers/scrubs anymore . They irritated my skin & made it really dry . My mom used to be a beautician & she told me to only wash my face with water & a good soap (i like dove & this other one i bought made from goatmilk) . . any mild breakouts should clear up in about two weeks, but you also have to remember to not touch yerrr face .

I wouldn't use the scrubbing, beads cleanser every day. Can be irritating on your skin.
