Ever since i saw my sister's best friend with a pierced belly button i've always wanted one. In the summer i am always wearing bikini's and i think a belly ring would look really cute, and i've been told by many of my girlfriends. some people i have talked to say it was one of the best things they've done while others have said that they had bad experiences.
-I've talked to my parents and they said they don't care as long as i am 18 and out of the house to get it. I'm 15 going on 16 right now and i really want it now.

My question is...do you have your belly button pierced? how old were you when you got it? was it worth it?

if your a parent--has your child asked you if they could get their belly button pierced? if you said no why? if you said yes..how long did they have to wait to get it done?

I've had my belly pierced since I was 15...my friends on the dance team got it and I was DYING to get one but my mom refused. So I asked my friends mom to sign for me and I got it done... it didnt hurt at all and it was COMPLETELY worth it..I'm 21 now and I still love my belly ring. I told my mom when I was 18 and pretended I had just gotten it... the only advise I give u is that if u get it done behind ur parents back make SURE that the place is clean because dirty needles can transmit a lot of diseases...

I am fifteen and I got mine pierced about two weeks ago. I am terribly afraid off needles and have a very low pain tolerance. So for me personally, it hurt like crap but after two weeks it is already worth it! It only hurt getting it done and when I would hit it. I would do it all over again if I had too. I also had stuborn parents when it came to piercings. I bothered them about it for more than a year and my mom finally gave in. My dad was cool with it all along but my mom needed some convincing. Try sitting down with your parents and explain to them exactly why you want it pierced and then discuss why they don't want you to get it done. There is a good chance you will come to some sort of agreement on the matter. Best of luck and feel free to contact me if you have any other ?'s!

I got mine when I was 19... I also have a tattoo and I guarantee you , my belly ring hurt more than my tattoo... nearly 10 years on and I'm over my belly ring.. I had a great figure for quite a few years and I loved showing it off.. but when you get a bit older and the metabolism doesn't work like it used to, then you tend to just show it to people who ask about it... but hey at the end of the day, you can always take it out! Just one thing if you do get it done... make sure you keep it clean.. mine kept getting infected for quite a few years.. if it's out in the open, it's there for the germs to get to! But keep it clean and you'll be right! :)

ha i don't have one. I want one though. I was going to get one when i was on an exchange program in spain and not tell my parents but i didn't. but yeah. I am just going to wait till i am 18. I am 16 right now. I have wanted it since i was 13 and you know it isn't that long of a wait. Right now you can ask for your permit...then drivers licence...I mean you have other EXITING things that can keep you occupied before you get your belly pierced! Good luck with taht

I was 16 when I wanted it done, but my parents wouldn't consent, so I waited until my 18th birthday (the day of) and got it done. I really liked having it, even though I didn't really show it off. It was kind of a marker of (what I thought was) my independence. It's also fun to play with when you are bored. Now I'm almost 23 and I'm thinking it's about time to take it out, but it was definitely worth it!

My cartilage and navel piercings have been with regard to an identical, painwise. maximum places do use a clamp, it helps "middle" the piercing. They mark the section they'll pierce, clamp it, push the needle by, then save on with it with the jewelry. It sounds greater painful than it incredibly is. It would not count what form of abdomen you have in any respect.

I had mine done when I was 16.. I'm 21 now... And in a matter of months it had started to grow out or "migrate"... I ended up having to take it out otherwise my body would have just pushed it out... Navel piercings have a very high rejection rate and in my opinion they are one of the worst piercings to get... I have 4 others....

I have mine pierced twice, once on the top and once on the bottom. I was 16 when i first got the top done, my mom actually took me, even though my dad said not while i was living in his house..lol.
I got my second once when i was 24 i think. I love them, i think they are cute, especially if i keep myself in shape :)
FYI.. the bottom hurts more than the top

I have my bb pierced, I was 16 when I got it. It was painful & took a while to heal, but I think it was worth it.
