and are they too physhically intensive?? i work at an assebly line now(laser welding) but are careers such as electrician/plumber /welder too hard for me(i am not too strong)

when i said not too strong i mean i am not extremley strong the job i do now requires some strength ,what i am concerned about is will i be lifting very heavy objects for an extended period of time?? if so that means i can't choose that career because even if i can do it now eventually when i get older it will have an effect on my health .

I think you should do whatever makes you feel happy. If you think you are going to make a good electrician, plumber, or welder go at it. But I think college will be wonderful experience.

If you have ever paid a bill for an electrician, plumber or mechanic then you know that trade skills can earn a pretty good living. But these are physical jobs. I don't know what you mean by "not too strong". I've met several mechanics that were not terribly large people and I met a female electrician. If there is a specific trade you are interested in - see if you can find someone currently working in the trade that would be willing to talk to you about what they do. Your local technical college may be able to refer you to someone.
