I don't believe in God, and everything tells me it is unlikely God exists. However, I feel drawn towards belief in God. Why is this?

We are all born with a need to know God. It is a void that only He can fill. You should follow your instincts and seek Him out. That is your conscience Talking to you. I heard a wonderful quote today. Our conscience is like a sundial and only with the truth and light of God can it show us the right way.

its just you dont understand god, but you know within yourself that there is a creator! this universe didnt get here by chance you & every one can see that the universe & even the human body was made by something or someone with thought. the body has a design the universe is systematic, designs &system come from thought or intelligence of a mind(god). i know its difficult to understand god because most people look for god where god will never be found! in the ski?"no", in some ghost heaven that no one has ever seen?"no", but the true home of god is:1 corinthians 3: 16-17, you read it & tell me what you think.

I don't understand what you mean by everything you see denies the existence of God, when if you take the time to consider the amazing creatures that do exist, how could they just be an accident?

That if the laws of science explain that like forces repel each other (like similar polarities on a magnet, or electrons in an atom, all electrons are negatively charged) why does an atom not simply disintegrate or fall apart. The Bible explains that it is God that holds all things together.

Id like to aggree that you shouild support your interest in god and finding a belief,
But take this into account. some will tell you that christianity is the only way to God. this is not true, i believe in God and i do not believe in chrsitianity. my wife is Pagan and i dont delegate a denomination. although ive started taking some of the pagan beliefs such as HARM NONE, DO WHAT YOU WILL.

Because there is a "something more" in the universe that is really there. This does not mean that any particular religion has it totally correct. What we call God, even if we no human has ever had a complete understanding of what this means, is very real.

God is telling you and trying to get you to listen. He wants you as His child, do you want Him. Just give your heart to Him and truly believe, know that He died on the cross so we could be forgiven for our sins, that he arose on the 3rd day, and confess with your tongue to others that you belong to God and you are Christian.Start reading some of the Bible everyday.
Best thing go talk to a pastor and ask any questions you have...........x

We were made in the image of God. God gives us the choice to choose Him or not. But the created is always connected in some way to the Creator. I am sure that if you ask Jesus why you feel this, he will give you an answer.

it is the nature of man to cling to hope, to look for an explanation, and to have the idea of an all knowing superior being that is always watching over you. if you want to follow a religion then check it out, there are many out there. its not for everyone but if you think it is for you then go for it, you may find it rewarding.

From a Christian stand-point, I'd say it is God trying to get your attention. Try not to shut him out just yet, he may be trying to give you the proof you need.
