Evolution just doesn't seem to make any sense to me.

Well, if you believe the theory of evolution proposes that humans are descended from potatoes, no wonder it doesn't make sense to you.

Do you resemble your parents? Do they look like Mr and Mrs Potato Head.? If not you probably came from humans not potatoes.
Where did you get the idea that human animals came from potato vegetables? You desperately need a biology course.

No, we didn't evolve from pototoes. Our closest relatives are chimps and apes. And evolution makes a great deal more sense than the rubbish spouted by creationists. Perhaps it's time you did some proper science.

No, it is the consensus here is that we came from rocks tho we are somehow related to the potato.
It goes like this: The Big Bang produced many rocks of all sizes. It happened to rain on the rocks, creating mud from the dust and life sprang forth from that primordial soup.
What's so hard to understand about that?
I will tell you tho that no scientist has ever yet discovered "the missing rock".

That is probably because you didn't study science enough in high school. Read all you can about evolution and then come back here and ask some good questions about life.

We evolved from ape like creatures. They were not potatoes and neither are humans banyan trees.
I do agree with "Emily C". Potatoes and humans have a common ancestor. Do you know what this gentleman is called? Deoxy-ribo-Nucleic-Acid; in short DNA.
All life form like moss, onions, bamboo, apple, earth worms, cockroaches, crabs, beetles, snakes, horses, dogs, turtles, humans ... you name it ... all originated from DNA.
