Hi, I'm a vet. tech with 10 years experience, longs spaghetti looking worms are roundworms, never use a wormer that is bought from a store! I've seen many deaths from these store bought wormer, especially Sargents brand! Drop off a fresh stool sample at your local vets office where they will be able to see they type of eggs in the stool. The normal wormer for roundworms is called Strongid-T, theres is another type of common worms that is only seen that is only seen, and usually comes out in segments and is seen in the stool or is seen crawling on the rear of the pet, it is called the tapeworm looks like a piece of rice, occasionally it will out longer instead of in segments but it will not show up in a stool check, animals can be born with them, and they can be vary hard to get rid of them and can be acquired so easily by ingesting a flea! They do not cause much damage unless severely infested, unlike other types of parasites. Either way the stool should be checked by a vet., and throw away the store bought wormer for the sake of your pet. Especially is true for cats!!!
Good luck!

i think vikki has it right -- it's either play biting or defensive biting. if it's defensive, he most likely feels threatened because he is being hit by others. if it's play biting, you are most likely the only person he feels safe enough to play with (because others are hitting him / yelling at him). no matter how old a dog is, he will never be more mentally advanced than about a 3 year old human. in essence, he will always be a baby. it's not okay to hit a baby, and it's not okay for anyone to hit your dog either. if there is anything you can do to draw a boundary with your father and/or maid, do it. report them to the police if you have to (hitting an animal is in some cases considered an illegal act of cruelty). try to make your lil boy feel safe when you approach him. sit down on the ground in front of him; this is less intimidating than leaning over him from above. speak in a reassuring voice and let him sniff your hand before you try to pet him. go slow and let him set the pace. i hope this helps; good luck!

Those cheap wormers aren't worth anything. You should take a sample into the vet and have the vet test the stool for worms.. Once he knows what your dog has, he can give you the proper medication.. The junk from the grocery store is not the right stuff to properly to worm your dog.. Not even worth using til you can get to the vet.

Follow up with your vet. My puppy had worms when I got him, he is also a lab/German Shepard mix not that that has to do with anything. Definitely at least call the vet to see if you should bring them in. Dogs are miserable when they have worms and you don't want to see them suffer.

Your dogs should really be evaluated by a vet to determine the type of parasite, and get the proper deworming medication. Over-the-counter dewormer isn't for all types of worms. Sounds like Roundworms, though.

The worms you are describing are large roundworms. A wormer with the active ingredient pyrantel pamoate will get rid of them. Two brands are Nemex and Anthelban. You can get them without a prescription from ant mail order pet supply catalog. Keep the dog pop in your yard cleaned up or they could reinfect themselves. Even of they do not eat the poop they step in it and then lick their paws.

Your dog need to go to a vet! Your dogs has a Nematodes which are types of worms that are shaped like spaghetti. Their are 4 common types of them which are Roundworms, Hookworms, Whipworms and Heartworms. I think it might be roundworms.. Either way you'll need to see a vet if it is any of these worms. Just explain to them what you told us. Not all worms can be vaccinated against.

that would be round worms which most puppies have, but she may have other things that are only visable under a microscope.
apparently they have not been to the vet for check ups & vaccines?? if so they would have already been wormed by the vet.
sargents & hartz are both to be avoided & can be very dangerous to the dogs.
incidently there is no such thing as a mini pug
if you can't afford regular veterinary care for your pets then you shouldn't have them.

Get a dewormer from your vet. It's pretty inexpensive. Many of the dollar store items are expired and unsafe. I wouldn't trust the Dollar General for anything ingestible - especially medications.

long white worms? do they look like cooked spaghetti? If so, it is probably whip worms. My moms cat had them and it almost killed him. Over the counter wormer will not work. Take your dog or a sample of its poo to the vet and get proper meds.
