what would you say to me to make me change my mind? Can you convince me that this life is worth living? Or you'll just tell me go for it (if you thought of it you're not worth living right)? No nonsense about God...or else :) And have in mind that I'm not a simple person.

I wouldn't attempt to change your mind. I would tell you to take out a few people with you.

Our natural resources are depleting quickly enough, you'll be doing a great service.

I would tell you that you're right, life is pointless. It's your choice to make, I have myself given this a great deal of thought, and I decided to live. I don't know why I decided to live but I did. I can't tell you that there is something worth living for. Here's this: since it makes no difference either way, why not live and just enjoy it if you can. All these things that may worry you and lead you to suicidal thoughts are pointless too. There is no simple true answer. There are simple lies that might fool you and tide you over til you die "naturally", but I will not tell you any of those.

As an atheist I see no reason to expect an afterlife. When you are dead that is it. Game Over.

So, it would take something incredibly bad, that was never going to improve to make me commit suicide.

If you are depressed, if your dog died, your husband left you, your kids hate you: Then get over it. I know that that sounds trite but you should seek whatever help you need or is available to help you get over it. There is still a life worth living waiting for you.

If you have terminal cancer, are incapacitated and in severe pain, then think about all the good times you have had, say goodbye to all your friends and family and turn up the morphine.

Well I would say this, Life can deal use some unwanted cards, life is not fair, life is not easy, life is not a bed of roses, life is hard and uncomfortable,

But, and this is a conjunction and means theirs a flip side to the fist part of the sentence. Theirs an opposite side of it. and the but from the first part is this:

We have Love ones that we love, that makes life worth living for. We have Ideas to give or pass along to make a difference. We can be apart of something great, and I am going to go as far as to say, we are apart of something that is GREAT !. We can help someone along he way, yes we may hurt, well I will say this, as long as we are living in a HUMAN Body we will experience pain, aging, and drawing up. The body will die, but not your sole or Spirit. God is Love, so when we say, " I Love you" I Love you Mama or Daddy, or I Love you Baby" that comes from the heart and that comes from someone who do not want you to kill yourself. He created you and their for he should be the one to take you out o this world, not you or anyone else or not even another substance, ( drugs, algal, guns, ext..)

Most suicidal acts don't end up dying at all or even straight away-Instead they either suffer with a snapped neck for a few hours alone, or they suffer paralyzed in the hospital their whole lives-B.c there just isn't a sure way of killing yourself without risks of suffering and living.
Even Phineas Gage had an explosion that drilled a pipe into his brain, and he still survived.

Life is pretty short anyways, might as well live it -b.c when you are dead you are dead permanently- there's no changing your mind like you change your underwar-or maybe you don't do that either... 0_o

Life is a mix of pleasure and Pain-Death is not garanteed to be anything. At least in life you can get pleasurable experiences.

Suicide is selfish.
You give everyone else the pain of a death and it's a cruel pain taht won't go away. It lasts forever.
My friend commited suicide and his mother is crazy in grief..she has no life and she mourns her son day and night-his friends and family will never get over the loss...It's permanent damage..it isn't fair, and was unecessary pain.
It's like saying you have a knife in your back, and instead of getting someone to pull it out and place it somewhere safe- you pull it out yourself and slice into ppl with it instead.
It's not fair.

People in worse conditions-b.c there's always worser conditions- have survived it to become strong , happy and successful ppl-...So there's no point in killing yourself when you can change things around.

Plus, since when do we want an illness to dictate how we run our lives? Depression is an illness in the mind, that gives thoughts of suicide. You gunna listen to some idiotic lack of serotonin tellin yah what to do-or are yah gunna fight it away and get help /treatment.

On a spiritual stand point- I believe in reincarnation..and suicides are a broken contract with yourself and th ehigher power-so you will be forced to take another life on earth-and live it all over again..
the whole cycle seems much better if it's only done once..
Might as well live.

life is about learning.....learn from the past and move on-It's YOUR life....live it...don't trash it b.c of someone else, or some situation...

I don't think I would try to convince you that life is worth living, seems a lost argument from the start. I think might tell you all the things I plan to do before my time comes and see if you have any or would like to join me in mine. I think I might try to convince you to just walk away and start a new life.

If your a member of congress I would load a gun for you.

I'd say that if you killed yourself, you'd never get to enjoy any of the wonderful things in life ever again. To me, it's the little things that make life worth living, like reading a good book, being with my friends, and eating chocolate and drinking good coffee. If you killed yourself, those experiences, and whatever else you love about life wouldn't be available to you anymore. That's a big price to pay.

If you were to kill yourself you would break so many hearts and leave too many grieving people behind. You would harm not only yourself, but your family, friends, and countless others who care about you. Do you really want to just throw your life away. Would it be worth it to miss the wonderful things that life has in store for you. Life may not always be easy, no one ever said it would be, but it's always worth it to live.

If that is something you really want to do, then nobody can change your mind. I'll be praying for you.
It is such a selfish act. Why would you do that? Think of how those close to you would feel. Are you ready to die? Do you have NO purpose. Do you really want to be found in a pile of your own feces?
I won't preach, but there is a God. You obviously are not ready to meet him in that state. Do Me one favor and Just say. Jesus, I need you. and be silent for 2 min.
I have no more
Life is worth living, its the only chance you have.

To be totally honest, if I didn't know you. I'd just nod at you and say, "Ok," as I roll my eyes away from you and walk away.

Frankly, if you've decided to do something, you wouldn't consult about it with anybody. I'd figure this is your last grasp at getting attention, which is exactly what most people who feel like there's nothing left to live for want...yet don't feel good about getting attention either. It's like a catch-22. Damned if you do, and damned if you don't.

If I cared enough, I'd say go to a psychiatrist, you've definitely some emotional issues.

Drink robitussin (enough to get you to the 4th plateau) and have someone trip sit you. You'll be scared shitless like i was and will never think about it once you get over everything. You fight hard enough not only to stay alive but sane. Also you'll never look at reality the same way again.
