What should I send in care packages to my boyfriend in the Navy? He's not in Iraq, he's just on a ship in the persian gulf, so he doesn't need the basic stuff I find everywhere on the internet like soap and food and all those kinds of practical things, i just need more fun things. any ideas?

Send him anything and everything. Even if you don't know if he'll like it. He has a bunch of people he can share it with. My son likes Pez candies and I sent him that even gum in the shape of hamburgers and pizza-silly things are fun, Vienna sausages. canned sweet and sour chicken and beef chow mein. Does he have a good pillow? When my son was in Iraq the first time they couldn't get pillows so my Dad, sister and I bought and sent like 26 pillows. Or t-shirts since everyone ends up buying stuff at the same place they get the same clothes to wear on their off time. video games. What about paint by number sets? Send LOTS of cards, Even if they are birthday cards and it's not his birthday, buy it and send it just because it's funny.

It's nice to send things like cookies or Pop tarts, something they can snack on there rack when the galley is not open. Also, things to remind them from home, pics, cards, ect. Maybe special stuff they can't get on the ship, a certain type of shaving razor, or a certain type of soap or deoderant that they really like. Otherwise just ask, he'll be able to tell you something he would like to receive. Hope this helps

Any Nerf gun that fires those sponge dart things with the suction cup on the end.

Taco Bell Sauce packets- Sounds stupid but those things travel well and can make military (at least Army) chow taste better.

Stupid immature boyish stuff like super soakers etc. You'd be amazed at how immature the average 'professional' is when he is blowing off steam / goofing off.

Magazines!! My husband loved Maxim and air plane magazines. He also loved little treats like Jelly Belly Jelly Beans and lots of pictures of me and our little boy.
Ask him what he'd like! He'll have the best opinion.

Dee Dee Dee, I had to laugh. My husband would tell me about how on their down time they'd go around squirting each other with water guns. They got extra points for making it look like the other guy peed himself. LOL...men.....
