My future son in law wants me to dance with him for the mother son dance because his mother will not be in attendance. We have become quite close, but the traditional from the time you were little songs just do not apply. Any help you can give on this would be great!

We did an "In-Law" dance at our wedding. My hubby's mom passed away a few years ago, and I have an absentee father... so our "In-Law dance" was just my mom's favorite songe (In My Life - by the Beatles). So you could just play your favorite song. It doesn't have to be geared toward a certain "role".
